I work with individuals and families ages 6-80+ and is licensed to provide services in Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Indiana. (Clients must be located in one of these states at the time of each session.) I also serve as a Clinical Supervisor for Master’s-level interns working toward licensure. I am currently advancing my work in relational and sexual wellness through specialized training with the Sexual Health Alliance and am pursuing Board Certification as a Sex Therapist. With 20+ years of experience in education and mental health, I bring a broad and practical perspective to her work. Prior to transitioning to remote work in 2020, I served as a Director of Telehealth and providing individual, group, and family therapies. My background also includes 10+ yrs in Florida schools as a School Counselor, Behavior Specialist, Crisis Intervention Trainor, and Professional Development Resource Teacher, as well as experience in Texas as a therapist, Teacher, and Lead School Counselor. I provide individual therapy and, when covered by insurance, couples therapy for mild to moderate concerns. Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each client, drawing from PCT, CBT, BSFT, ACT, Family Systems work, Neuro-psychotherapy Techniques, and mindfulness-based practices. Sessions are typically short-term (12–16 sessions). Outside of clinical work, I am an Army Reserve Veteran, a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, Pirates fan, enjoy traveling, staying active, and spending time with pets, neighbors, family, and friends. I am committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and supportive space for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations. To ensure our sessions remain a focused and neutral space for your personal growth, I do not incorporate discussions or disclosures regarding political affiliations or religious beliefs into my practice. This boundary allows us to prioritize your clinical goals and maintain a dedicated environment for your mental wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session we take the time to get to know each other, identify the presenting problem and establishing goals/treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility—learning to notice and accept difficult thoughts and feelings without letting them take control. My experience includes guiding clients to clarify their values, develop mindfulness skills, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want, even in the presence of anxiety, depression, or stress. In practice, I integrate ACT by combining acceptance strategies with practical behavior change, so clients feel both supported and empowered.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and stress. In my practice, I guide clients in recognizing the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and teach practical strategies to challenge distortions, build healthier perspectives, and create lasting behavior change. CBT provides clients with concrete tools they can use both in and outside of sessions, which makes it highly effective and empowering.

Couples Counseling

I have experience working with couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. In my practice, I help partners better understand one another’s needs, manage conflict in healthier ways, and move past patterns that keep them feeling stuck. My approach is collaborative and supportive, giving each partner space to feel heard while working together toward shared goals for a stronger relationship.

Reality Therapy

I use Reality Therapy to help clients focus on the choices they make and how those choices impact their well-being and relationships. My experience includes guiding clients to identify their needs, evaluate whether their current behaviors are meeting those needs, and explore healthier, more effective ways of taking responsibility for their lives. In practice, I use this approach to empower clients to create meaningful change by aligning their actions with their values and goals.

Sex Therapy

I use an inclusive, sex-positive approach to help individuals and couples navigate intimate concerns, strengthen relational connections, and overcome barriers to sexual well-being. My experience involves creating a safe, non-judgmental space to address concerns such as desire discrepancies, intimacy challenges, communication hurdles, and sexual anxiety. As a candidate with the Sexual Health Alliance pursuing advanced board certification, I integrate evidence-based practices and modern sexology to empower clients to embrace their authentic selves, improve communication around intimacy, and foster deeper, more fulfilling connections.

Kimberly is an expert at balancing. She gives the right amount of space and time to have the mic, and also ask the right questions and process with me. She is empathetic, smart, she is relatable, she gives a level of comfort in our discussions that makes it easy for me to share. I took some off for financial reasons, but I am grateful to be back in therapy, it was needed and now I remember exactly why I should prioritize my mental health. I am breathing a little less heavy today.
