Hi! I am Brianna, a Licensed Clinical Social worker in the state of Illinois. I have been practicing for 4 years. I work with adults and teens who are experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, career challenges, family/relationship concerns, and much more! My goal is to assist you in becoming the best version of yourself! I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will focus on introductions. This is the time for us to get to know each other and discuss the expectations we have for each other. Shortly after, we will begin to discuss your goals and create a measurable plan to track your progress and to guide us during follow-up sessions. Remember that healing is a process and change does not happen overnight. I will continuously remind you to show yourself grace during this process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with various individuals for 4 years, I have established ways to help clients get to the root of their problem and create realistic goals for themselves. I believe that YOU are the expert in your life. My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you find ways to “quiet” the “noise”, to help you determine what YOU want to do. I look forward to helping you tap into yourself.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have worked with clients who have experienced negative thinking/self-talk. CBT is used to help challenge and reframe your thinking. I take the approach of reframing and cognitive restructuring. This can be done through various methods: journaling, worksheets, video recordings, etc.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is used to educate you on the symptoms you may be experiencing. It is a critical piece in the therapeutic process as it can be helpful to put a name to your emotions/thoughts/behaviors.
