LCSW, 6 years of experience
New to Grow
I became a therapist due to several factors: 1) When I was 14 years old, a close friend completed suicide and until this day none of us close to him know why. This was the start to my journey. 2) After college I moved to NYC and began working in foster care and saw first-hand how trauma starts every and can have a lasting impact on an individual's life. 3) I have always had a passion for helping and assisting since my early years. These are the 3 key ingredients that played a major part into why I became a mental health provided. I believe we all can heal, and we all can share in growth. When you are healed life is so beautiful.
Our first session will focus on exploring what has brought you here and beginning to build rapport. You can expect a relaxed and supportive atmosphere with open, direct communication. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident that you’ve found a therapist you can trust and feel at ease with.
I have a wide range of clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families. Having worked in residential, intensive outpatient, office, and community-based settings. I have a history of serving those in the community providing group, individual, and family therapy.
Clarity makes life a bit simpler! Everyone deserves to heal and thrive. I take a holistic approach and focus on treatment of the whole person. That is, I consider social and mental factors, rather than just the symptoms. My goal is to help you shine in life and find meaning and purpose with a newfound calling.
I am skilled in CBT to assist you with challenging thoughts and feelings to change negative perspective to positive perspective and outlook.
I utilize God as the center of my services and Biblical principles to navigate concerns and issues that may arise for you.
I am skilled in DBT to assist you with developing skills to manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and tolerate distress.
We will work together to activate the brain's natural healing processes to work through past trauma.
Together we will focus on identifying and utilizing an individual's strengths and resources to promote well-being and positive change
