New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who offers a warm, grounded space for people who feel overwhelmed, stuck or tired of carrying everything alone. My style is compassionate but direct, we will move at a pace that feels safe, while also taking honest steps toward change. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and IFS to help you understand what’s happening inside, strengthen coping skills, and heal patterns that keep showing up in your life. If you’re ready to do real work with steady support, I would be honored to walk with you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, unhurried space where you don’t have to have everything figured out or say things perfectly. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy right now, what feels most urgent, and what you’re hoping will be different in your life. We will also complete a biopsychosocial intake, which helps me understand the full picture, including your current symptoms and stressors, medical and mental health history, family background, relationships, work and daily functioning, supports, strengths, and any past therapy experiences. If there are sensitive areas, we will approach them at a pace that feels respectful and safe. Before we end, we’ll begin shaping a clear direction for our work together, discuss goals and next steps, and I’ll answer any questions you have so you leave knowing what the process will look like going forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths include genuine concern for each client and a willingness to journey with you through the process, not just talk about change. I bring steady presence, deep listening, and a nonjudgmental stance so you can be fully honest about what you’re carrying without fear of being labeled, shamed, or dismissed. I’m also able to hold both compassion and truth in the room, helping you name what’s really happening beneath the surface and face patterns like overthinking, self-criticism, avoidance, and people-pleasing with clarity and courage. In terms of methods, I blend evidence-based tools (CBT) with deeper parts work (IFS) so we can address both the practical, day-to-day struggles and the root wounds that keep the same cycles repeating. My goal is to support you in any way I can while keeping our work purposeful, walking with you step by step toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with a wide range of clients, and I strive to offer a welcoming space for anyone who is ready to be supported and grow. Many people come to me when they’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or emotionally exhausted, and they want both relief and real change. Whether you’re navigating stress, life transitions, relationship strain, low mood, trauma responses, or patterns like overthinking and self-criticism, we can work through it togetherMy approach is warm and nonjudgmental, yet purposeful and practical, so our sessions help you name what’s really going on, understand the patterns underneath it and begin taking honest, workable steps forward.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as a compassionate, practical approach that helps clients notice the patterns that keep them stuck and gently replace them with thoughts and actions that lead to healing. In my work, we look honestly at what is happening in the mind and heart, identify unhelpful beliefs and practice new, healthier responses that align with the client’s values and goals. I offer a warm, supportive space with clear direction, inviting clients not just to gain insight, but to take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients relate to their inner world with compassion and honesty, rather than shame or self-criticism. In our work, we carefully identify the different “parts” that carry pain, fear, anger or protection and we listen to what each part is trying to do for you. I create a warm, safe space where clients are invited to face what they have been avoiding, care for wounded places within, and move toward wholeness with greater clarity, calm, and courage.
