Hello, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Nevada and New Mexico. I have over 20 years of experience providing therapy, teaching social work, and mentoring. I enjoy and am experienced in helping youth, adults, and seniors identify and solve the problems that are negatively impacting their mental health and well-being. I help my clients improve their present thoughts, behaviors and feelings so that they are more optimistic about their future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first therapy session, we will explore the primary and secondary reasons for why you are seeking assistance. At the end of the session, if you believe you are feeling better about your future, then we will schedule additional sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have successfully treated a wide variety of people with vastly different characteristics and circumstances. I help my clients focus on alleviating what ails them so that they can better enjoy life.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach incorporating positive psychology principles and practices. It helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. In the most basic sense, SFBT is a hope-friendly, positive emotion-eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT rests on the assumption that the way people think and interpret life events affects how they behave and feel. Therapy sessions focus on exploring and developing methods to deal with challenges and behaviors that arise daily. This type of therapy can be effective in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions. CBT often consists of 6–20 one-on-one sessions, though some people may have more. It can also take the form of group sessions.
