New to Grow
¡Hola! I’m Blanca Mendoza, LMFT a bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist dedicated to helping individuals and families heal from the weight of inter-generational trauma and life’s many challenges. I work with adolescents, first-generation students, and adults navigating identity, life transitions, relationships, and cultural expectations. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally grounded, integrating mindfulness and practical tools to support healing, growth, and self-compassion.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, we’ll take a little extra time to get to know you and your story. We’ll review your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy, and I’ll explain my approach so you know what to expect moving forward. This session helps us both determine the best ways to support your growth and well-being.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I take a relational and culturally aware approach, blending empathy with practical tools like trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Together, we focus on healing inter-generational wounds, building resilience, and creating balance in your life helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and supported.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m passionate about supporting clients from culturally diverse backgrounds who are balancing multiple worlds that include family expectations, cultural values, and personal goals. Together, we work to heal inter-generational wounds, strengthen self-awareness, and build the tools needed for emotional and relational well-being.
Eclectic
My approach is relational and strengths-based, while also being directive when clients need clear guidance and strategies. I draw from trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tools, and mindfulness practices, always with a deep respect for cultural identity and lived experience. Together, we work on healing our roots so you can grow with more strength, balance, and resilience in the present.
