LPC, 8 years of experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania with a master’s degree from St. John’s University and 8 years of experience in the field. I work with both children and adults, helping them navigate life’s challenges and stressors so they can grow into the best version of themselves. Using an eclectic therapeutic approach, I aim to empower my clients to achieve their goals, build resilience, and create fulfilling lives.
In our first session, we’ll start with brief introductions and an open conversation about what brought you to therapy. This will give me a better understanding of your needs and allow us to begin creating SMART goals together. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and confident as we begin your therapeutic journey.
With over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, I draw on my training in psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support my clients in overcoming challenges and enhancing their overall well-being. My strengths lie in combining evidence-based practices with a compassionate, client-centered approach that helps individuals build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and create lasting change.
I love working with children as they learn to understand and express their thoughts and feelings, especially as they begin approaching the changes that come with puberty. I also enjoy supporting adults as they navigate the many stages of life after childhood, helping them explore their experiences and adapt to the transitions they may face along the way.
CBT has been the foundation for the past eight years of my scope of work. Many clients have experienced both progress and success through challenging their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in and out of our sessions. Being able to recognize the way that all three interact with each other can help in developing the skills needed to feel strong and confident to manage day-to-day stressors.
I've been using DBT for the last 3 years in my practice. “Dialectical” means combining opposite ideas. DBT focuses on helping clients accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. This technique works best for clients who enjoy a very structured setting in therapy.

Alexandra was warm and empathetic and genuinely interested in learning more about my family's challenges during our first session together. We talked as though we had known each other for years. I look forward to additional sessions with Alexandra!
