I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), based in Pennsylvania. I received my master's from St. John's University and have been practicing for 8 years. I help children and adults navigate through their stressors to be the best version of themselves. By using an eclectic therapeutic approach, my mission is to empower my clients to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
In our first session, we will have brief introductions, and discuss what brings you to therapy. Understanding this will help in developing SMART goals for the therapeutic process.
I have over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I apply my skills and knowledge in psychology, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help my clients overcome personal challenges and improve their well-being.
I love working with children to help them navigate their thoughts and feelings building up to puberty. I also enjoy working with adults. Being able to collaborate in exploring the many stages of post-childhood and understanding how to better navigate the many changes they may go through is important.
CBT has been the foundation for the past eight years of my scope of work. Many clients have experienced both progress and success through challenging their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in and out of our sessions. Being able to recognize the way that all three interact with each other can help in developing the skills needed to feel strong and confident to manage day-to-day stressors.
I've been using DBT for the last 3 years in my practice. “Dialectical” means combining opposite ideas. DBT focuses on helping clients accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. This technique works best for clients who enjoy a very structured setting in therapy.
