Sure! Here's the revised version with EMDR included: --- Hi, I’m Acacia Quaintance, MSSA, LISW-S. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Ohio. I completed my master’s degree at Case Western Reserve University and have been practicing for 8 years. I help my clients navigate life transitions, heal from trauma, and manage stress in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful therapy approach that helps clients process and move beyond painful experiences. My work is rooted in empathy, faith, and evidence-based practices to support lasting healing and growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any important background information that may help guide our work together. We’ll also talk about what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and begin exploring what feels most urgent or important to you right now. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel safe, heard, and understood from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard—especially those who may have felt uncomfortable or judged in other settings. I bring a calm, grounded presence to each session, along with strong clinical skills in trauma-focused care, including EMDR. I also have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by trauma survivors, parents, and individuals managing mental health concerns. My ability to blend empathy, professionalism, and evidence-based strategies allows clients to feel both supported and empowered on their healing journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with all clients no matter what they have going on but I specialize in clients experiencing trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions. My clinical approach is compassionate, faith-informed, and rooted in evidence-based practices like EMDR. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process their experiences, find healing, and build lasting emotional resilience.

My treatment methods

EMDR

As a trauma therapist I predominately use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients who have experienced trauma and PTSD rapidly resolve symptoms.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is such an important method in therapy, my goal in working with clients is to help you to identify negative thoughts and then challenge those thoughts
