LCMHC, 20 years of experience
I have been in the mental health field for over 20 years in a variety of settings. My experience ranges from working in a juvenile detention center, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, community mental health centers, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and outpatient counseling centers. I have worked with major mental health, families, couples, as well as children and adolescents. I specialize in working with families, couples, and adolescents.
In our first session together, I will provide a safe, welcoming space where you can be your authentic self—free from judgment. Our time together will be a chance to connect, learn about each other, and see if we’re a good match. Today is the day that you begin walking into your new normal. My goal as your therapist is to guide you into that new normal. Whether you have encountered trauma, loss of a loved one, a child recently diagnosed with a disability, depression or anxiety; it is time for you to start living and learning how to manage your new normal. I am here to help guide you. I believe each person can be the best person they can be regardless of their life situations. I provide a judgement-free environment to allow my clients to become the best version of themselves. I believe that therapy is a process that should be enjoyed and not dreaded. Due to this belief, I try to make the therapeutic process as “painless” as possible.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy meaning that I use various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered when I work with my clients.
My biggest strength is being relatable and compassionate to my clients.
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore personal growth, open to change, and willing to trust the therapeutic process. Together, we’ll navigate this journey with curiosity and compassion.
