In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, my primary focus is to create a space where authenticity and self-acceptance flourish. I recognize that taking the step to begin therapy can be both courageous and vulnerable, and my goal is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and respected right from the start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, my strength lies in my openness and easy-going demeanor. I strive to create an environment where you can feel at ease, knowing that you can share your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. I genuinely value feedback and view it as an essential tool for our collaborative work together. I'm open to adjusting our therapeutic approach as needed, recognizing that each client's journey is unique, and adaptability is key to providing effective support.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Currently, I am focused on helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, imposter syndrome, and the complexities of preserving self-identity in the workplace.

Keisha is a total professional and has a great heart. She provides a therapeutic climate that allows you to learn about yourself and puts you in a place to be able to grow. Everything takes work, but hopefully with the right tools, I will be able to continue to grow and get to a place of wholeness.

Keisha does an incredible job at understanding you as a person, being empathetic, and giving incredible tools. She is truly the best. I have come to her regarding my PMDD and anxiety disorder which not every therapist has an understanding of, which is okay, but keisha does and makes you feel heard and cared for!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Using a client-centered approach I empower my clients to be more flexible in their thinking, become better equipped to manage difficult emotions, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to lead.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I assist clients to identify and challenge negative or irrational thought patterns. Clients learn to replace distorted or unhelpful thoughts with more balanced and rational ones.

Motivational Interviewing

I emphasize the importance of developing a shared understanding of personal values and goals. I help my clients identify the discrepancies between their current situation and their aspirations, encouraging them to recognize their own motivations for change. This process unfolds naturally, with a focus on evoking intrinsic motivation.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

By actively engaging in conversation, I assist my clients recognize the positive aspects of their lives and the skills they already possess.

Supportive

I provide my clients with a comforting environment where they feel heard and valued. Together, we will work to identify and understand the difficulties you're facing, whether they be related to relationships, personal growth, or life transitions.
