About me

Hi! My name is Brynna, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas. I hold a deep commitment to helping people navigate life’s challenges with clarity and compassion. After earning my undergraduate degree from Texas State University (Eat ’em up, Cats!), I went on to complete my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’ve had the privilege of working across private practice, community mental health, and residential treatment settings. I bring a warm, grounded, and flexible approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic foundation. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and any hopes or concerns you may have about the process. We’ll explore your current challenges, clarify your goals, and start identifying practical steps that can help you move forward. My aim is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and grounded with a clearer sense of direction. Whether you're new to therapy or returning to it, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they appreciate my easygoing personality and the way I truly listen. I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable, understood, and supported, especially when sharing things that are difficult to talk about. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect, and I work hard to make sure each client feels like they’re not just being heard, but genuinely cared for. I blend this relational style with evidence-based methods like CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches to help clients build insight, develop coping tools, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are striving to create meaningful change in their lives. Whether you're recovering from substance use, navigating the ups and downs of anxiety or depression, or feeling the weight of a major life transition, I’m here to support your growth. My ideal clients are curious, open to self-reflection, and ready to engage in a process that prioritizes insight, healing, and practical tools. Together, we’ll focus on building a life that feels aligned with your values and sense of purpose.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Together, we will work to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, unhelpful beliefs, and behavioral habits that shape how you perceive yourself and interact with the world. CBT focuses on the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping you build healthier ways of thinking and responding.

Compassion Focused

Shame can be a significant barrier for many people working on their mental health. Through Compassion Focused Therapy, we work to gently undo patterns of self-criticism and reduce the weight of shame. This approach focuses on developing a compassionate understanding of oneself.

Narrative

Narrative Therapy provides a space to explore the life experiences that have shaped your personal story and sense of identity. Together, we work to re-author these narratives in ways that reflect your values and strengths. This externalizing approach emphasizes that 'the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation provides helpful information about mental health, emotions, and coping skills to support your healing and growth.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. In this approach, therapy is a supportive space where you are met with empathy, acceptance, and authenticity. Through a genuine and nonjudgmental relationship, you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your inner strengths, and move toward personal growth and self-understanding.
