*Please note: Your booking time will be our established meeting time going forward* In our first session, we'll create a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. I'll ask questions to understand your experiences and goals, and you'll have the chance to ask anything about the therapy process. I look forward to supporting you on your journey!
I bring a unique perspective to my work as a mental health provider, shaped by my own lived experiences in foster care and overcoming challenges related to low self-worth and people-pleasing. This personal journey allows me to connect deeply with my clients, fostering an immediate sense of safety, understanding, and trust. My strengths lie in active listening, emotional attunement, and empathetic support, creating a welcoming space where clients feel truly heard and seen. I excel at helping individuals put language to their emotions and inner experiences, giving voice to what has long gone unspoken. This collaborative approach empowers clients and cultivates both resilience and self-awareness. As a faith-based therapist, I also lean into my spiritual gifts as an intercessor and a vessel of emotional and spiritual healing. I prayerfully seek God’s guidance as I walk with each client through their healing journey. I believe that true wholeness involves the restoration of both soul and spirit—and I rely not only on clinical training but also on divine insight to help clients rediscover who they are in God, break emotional strongholds, and step into a life of peace, purpose, and clarity.
My ideal client is an African American woman or child/adolescent struggling with low self-esteem and feelings of unworthiness. They may have experienced failed relationships, abandonment, or emotional neglect, which contribute to difficulties in prioritizing their own needs and expressing their emotions. These experiences often lead to unhealthy patterns such as people-pleasing, co-dependency, isolation, or self-sabotage—leaving them feeling lonely, unseen, and misunderstood. I also support those who are seeking a deeper relationship with God but feel stuck—emotionally, spiritually, or both. They may long to strengthen their prayer life, understand God’s voice more clearly, or reconcile their faith with their life experiences. My goal is to walk alongside you in breaking generational and emotional cycles, cultivating a strong sense of self-worth, and nurturing emotional and spiritual resilience that empowers them to heal and grow from the inside out.
I specialize in supporting women with low self-esteem who are experiencing challenges related to rejection and abandonment. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we work together to identify and address the thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to low self-esteem and self-worth. Our goal is to cultivate a more positive self-image and enhance overall self-worth
Using Family Therapy, I collaborate with parents and children to enhance communication and foster mutual respect. This approach aims to cultivate awareness of children's behaviors and parental responses, promoting healthier interactions that build trust, respect, and deeper connections among family members.
I specialize in utilizing Play Therapy to facilitate the therapeutic alliance with children. This approach not only establishes rapport but also provides an effective framework for teaching essential skills in emotional regulation and self-awareness. The goal is to enhance communication, foster a strong sense of self-identity, and develop emotional intelligence.
As a Christian woman, I assist fellow believers in navigating life’s experiences and challenges by integrating spiritual principles and wisdom. My focus is on fostering spiritual insight and soundness as essential tools for enhancing mental and emotional well-being.
I recognize that we all have experiences that can leave lasting wounds. As a therapist, my goal is to raise awareness about trauma and its effects through psychoeducation. Utilizing a Trauma-Informed Approach, I create a safe, trusting, and empowering environment to support your healing and growth.
