Hello I've been doing therapy for over 15 years, helping various needs. I'm a licensed LMFT that has assisted children, teens , adults and families in learning new skills. I've worked as a substance abuse counselor, Foster care social worker, Community Therapist and School counselor. As i continue to grow, i hope to help utilize my knowledge and experience to help others be their best self to manage, anger, depression, anxiety, stress, build confidence, self esteem building, transgender issues, and various other situations. It's a joy to walk help people within their search for healing, insight, and empowerment. Sometimes it is hard to access the inner guide we have due to outside influences, fear, doubt, or from being out of alignment. Asking for help is one of the hardest things you can do, but can be very rewarding. As a therapist, I strive to help you connect to your authentic self in order to help you have more for filling experiences on your life journey. In our first session, Ill complete an intake and assessment to get a base like of any anxiety, and/or depression. Learn about you triggers and coping skills so i can have a baseline to work from. I will meet you where you are with no judgement and teach all i can to support you. I've been told I'm easy to talk to and work with as i use humor and objective in my understanding of your situations.
I would says building rapport and helping you feel good about reaching your goals. As well as providing resources to help you maintain them even after therapy. Every person is different and I try to find treatments that would be helpful in those situations to fit that person instead of providing a one model or 2 model style. I'm versatile and I focus on what the client needs.
I used various treatment methods as CBT is one of the many I use often. with reframing negative thoughts and recognizing cognitive distortions. I try to meet the clt where they are with the different methods of Support, Mindfulness, Attachment, Solution focus, Compassion, Child and parent, Couples, Acceptance, Christian counseling and many more.
Learning attachments styles and helping people recognize there and how they interact with other in relationships.
To look at situations from a spiritual and Christian based mindset that will allow for support with biblical reference.
