Hello. I'm Chris Collins! Congratulations on taking the first step towards healing. Change is inevitable. Whether transitions are planned or sudden, they can create feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, or sadness. I’m here to partner with you to navigate your thoughts and feelings during stressful times by creating a compassionate, judgement-free environment for exploration. While my goal is to tailor treatment to meet the individual needs of my client, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work through feelings of anxiety and depression associated with life changes. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I strive to provide an inclusive, safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. For your convenience and to reduce barriers to receiving services, I provide online services only. Seeking therapy can seem daunting, but I am here to demystify the process and empower you to work towards being the best version of you, as defined BY YOU.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is collaborative and focused on you. We’ll talk about what led you to seek therapy, answer any questions you have, and begin identifying goals—always at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together in a way that feels comfortable and empowering.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel my biggest strengths as a clinician is my ability to connect with my clients as well as honoring the unique goals and backgrounds of those that I work with.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals from many different backgrounds and stages of life, each bringing their own stories, challenges, and strengths into the therapy space. I support clients facing emotional distress, trauma, identity questions, and transitions that can feel overwhelming or isolating. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I work collaboratively with clients to develop treatment that aligns with their values, goals, and lived experiences.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients manage anxiety and depression using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical, skills-based approach. CBT helps clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected and provides tools to reduce distress, build resilience, and improve daily functioning. Therapy is collaborative and focused on creating strategies that feel realistic and effective in your everyday life

EMDR

I offer EMDR therapy to support clients healing from trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR helps the brain process memories that feel stuck, reducing emotional intensity and trauma-related symptoms. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and paced to ensure you feel safe and supported throughout the process.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I provide TF-CBT for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. This evidence-based approach helps children develop coping skills, process traumatic memories, and reduce emotional and behavioral symptoms. Caregiver involvement is a key part of treatment, supporting healing and long-term resilience.

Eclectic

I use an eclectic, evidence-based approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. By integrating techniques from multiple proven modalities, I provide flexible and personalized care that supports each client’s unique goals and needs.
