Therapy is a work of my heart. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist and consider it a privilege for individuals to share their stories, often including their pain as well. I value individuals who take the courageous step of coming to therapy for the first time or starting anew with me. I am curious by nature and provide space for people to share their stories; I may also ask questions to delve a little deeper. I value humor in the healing process. When it's appropriate, I may say something to lighten the mood, as therapy can be difficult at times. My faith shapes my life and gives me hope, and I hold hope for every person I meet as I believe they are valuable, resilient, and capable of change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I’ll begin by introducing myself and doing my best to help you feel comfortable. I may ask something light or personal—like where you live or an interest we might share—to help us connect. If it feels appropriate, I might bring in a little humor. I believe shared laughter can be a powerful connector. I’ll also explain that our first session will be a bit different from future ones. I’ll be asking more questions than usual—about your present concerns, past experiences, and family history—so I can start to understand a fuller picture of who you are and what brings you to therapy. In later sessions, there will be more space for you to share whatever is on your heart. We’ll talk about what led you to seek therapy, what you're hoping to get out of the process, and how you would like me to support you. Sometimes that means identifying a goal, but it’s okay if you’re not sure yet—just showing up is a strong first step.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths in therapy—especially in-person—is my ability to listen with full presence and allow space for silence. I intentionally pause before speaking so clients have time to reflect, feel, and think without interruption. That quiet space often opens the door to deeper insight. As an online therapist, I’ve had to be more intentional about creating that same sense of presence and calm, even through a screen. I also bring a steady sense of hope to my work. I’ve had the honor of walking alongside many individuals who have experienced deep pain and trauma. Through listening and being fully present, I hope I’ve helped them feel truly heard—and reminded them they are not alone. I carry their stories with care and respect, and I genuinely believe that even after the hardest seasons, healing is possible. I hold hope that they have already survived the worst and can still discover something new, meaningful, and life-giving ahead. My goal is always the same: for each client to leave feeling just a little lighter, more seen, and more hopeful. I want them to walk away with a new insight or reminder of their own strength—something that can help them move through the week ahead with clarity, courage, or self-compassion. As a therapist, I am also a lifelong learner. In the past few years, I’ve sought out and studied new counseling theories and practices that I’ve been able to integrate into my work—approaches I’ve seen truly help my clients. If I believe something could be useful to you, I’ll offer it gently and collaboratively, always respecting your pace and preferences.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals who have some self-awareness that something in their life isn’t working and are ready to explore their past and present to take meaningful—sometimes small—steps toward feeling better. The majority of my clients experience some form of anxiety, although it shows up differently for each person. Together, we work to understand how anxiety impacts their daily life and explore ways to feel more grounded, clear, and in control. I especially enjoy working with adults who have ADHD, especially if they have recently discovered they have ADHD and are looking for practical, compassionate strategies to manage it. I also support individuals who feel stuck in their careers or are considering college—whether for the first time or as a return to education later in life. In addition, I’ve found that many clients struggle with the simple act of saying “no” to others. Setting healthy boundaries—both personally and professionally—can be difficult, and I’m here to support you as you learn to care for yourself without guilt or shame.
