Hello, my name is Emily Barone. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10+ years of experience. I have worked in various settings such as inpatient rehab, nursing facilities, behavior supports and outpatient counseling. I have a dynamic understanding of the brain and human development. I recognize the strengths and resilience in people that they fail to see in themselves and capitalize that to promote positive changes.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will include understanding what you are looking for in treatment and outcomes you wish to achieve. A few assessments will be conducted to ensure sessions are directed to your needs. The overall goal is rapport building so you can feel more comfortable in future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am trained in various therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and motivational interviewing. My goal is to support you in being the best version of yourself and help build a arsenal of coping skills to support you in your day-to-day life as well as difficult situations

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you found your way here you already made the most difficult step which is knowing that you need support. Therapy comes in many different forms whether it is addressing symptoms, coaching through difficult experiences, processing childhood trauma or just needing to feel heard by another person. As a LCSW, I can be all those things for you with the guiding principle of helping you help yourself. Clients who work with me will find inner strengths and implement skills to support current issues like anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, life dissatisfaction or hopelessness.
