New to Grow
Keith Casey's approach to therapy is to be empathetic and encouraging. The most gratifying part of his job is when he sees someone embrace the idea that change is possible. He is trained in exposure-response and prevention therapy for OCD. He also likes to incorporate elements of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness into his work. He specializes in anxiety, OCD, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues.
Our first session will be an opportunity for both of us to get to know each other and to speak about therapeutic goals. I am extremely open-minded and welcoming and do my best to assure my clients feel comfortable and safe.
I have a diverse background and over a decade of experience working with many different populations. This has deepened my compassion and conviction that people have the power to transform their lives. I have been fortunate enough to have a front row seat to seeing people's growth and it continues to inspire me to do the work I do.
My ideal clients are people who are dealing with OCD, depression, and anxiety as those are my specialties. I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat OCD and utilize CBT, Behavioral Activation, DBT, and Psychodynamic Therapy to address depression and anxiety. I believe therapy is successful when looked at as a collaboration between the client and therapist.
I utilize ERP to treat clients with OCD. I develop exposure hierarchies with clients and work with them to complete in session exposures while utilize response prevention skills.
I utilized CBT to help clients identify their core beliefs about themselves and the world and work with them to reframe negative assumptions
I utilize DBT to help clients become the observer of their thoughts and emotions and to help them become more mindful and less reactive.
I utilize Psychodynamic therapy to help clients understand their patterns and how it may connect to their early childhood experiences.
