I am an LCSW with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. Most of my work has focused on providing individual and family therapy to young adults, as well as children and adult survivors of trauma. I would describe my style as warm, supportive, genuine, and direct. I recognize that securing your trust is key in developing a productive therapeutic working relationship. I believe our experiences shape the way we see the world which can lead to patterns that are no longer serving us. Our thoughts impact the way we feel, and insight into these connections can move us towards change and healing. I recognize the decision to engage in therapy can be a difficult one. I will provide you with a safe space for us to work towards the goals you have set for yourself and make the changes you want to see in your life. Specialty Areas: Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Relationship Issues, Family Conflicts, Trauma & Abuse, Self-Esteem, Coping With Life Changes, Adolescence, Attachment Issues, PANDAS
You will come away from your first session with clear goals and understand how we will measure progress towards the goals you have identified. I will create a safe and supportive space to explore your history so that you can gain better insight and understanding into your current functioning. You will learn how to identify and adjust maladaptive patterns that are not serving you in the “here and now” as well as develop effective coping skills so you can live the life you want while maintaining a healthy relationship with yourself as well as those you care about.
Telehealth has become a wonderful tool. The experience I bring comes from years of working with children in multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial, residential treatment, and specialized foster care. In my private practice and community outpatient work, I have provided stabilization services working closely with inpatient and partial programs to support newly discharged clients and families. I was a trusted partner providing level of care assessments for a local school district, supporting families through parent training, crisis intervention, family therapy, and group therapy for teens. More recently as a program manager, I managed a team of clinical supervisors, therapists, and administrative staff working to provide school-based mental health services in 5 districts.
