Hello, I'm Jaylin Ross, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy is a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Life can become overwhelming, especially when you're used to being the person others rely on. Over time, it's easy to lose sight of your own needs while juggling responsibilities, relationships, and everyday stressors. My goal is to provide a space where you can feel supported as you navigate life's challenges without feeling like you have to carry everything on your own. I believe healing begins with understanding yourself more deeply. Together, we'll work to strengthen your emotional awareness, establish healthy boundaries, and learn how to care for yourself without self-abandonment. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can find clarity, build confidence, and create a stronger sense of peace within yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong foundation for our work together. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore any current concerns, and identify the goals you'd like to work toward. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable showing up as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you while beginning to identify patterns, strengths, and areas where you may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged in a meaningful way. I believe growth happens when we can acknowledge our emotions, increase our self-awareness, and gently examine patterns that may no longer be serving us. I bring a thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded approach to each session while also encouraging accountability and intentional change. I enjoy helping clients strengthen emotional boundaries, reconnect with themselves, and develop sustainable ways of caring for themselves while still honoring the relationships and responsibilities that matter to them. My goal is not only to help clients navigate current challenges but to equip them with tools and insights they can continue to use long after therapy ends.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who often feel like they are holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, drained, or disconnected internally. Many of my clients are high-responsibility individuals who are used to showing up for others, managing a lot, and pushing through stress even when they are running on empty. Over time, this can lead to burnout, difficulty slowing down, and patterns of neglecting their own emotional needs. In therapy, we focus on slowing things down enough to understand what is happening internally—emotionally, mentally, and relationally. Together, we work on increasing emotional awareness, identifying unhelpful patterns, and building healthier ways of responding to stress and relationships. My ideal client is someone who is ready to start showing up for themselves with the same care they give to others, even if they are still figuring out what that looks like.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients notice and shift thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. The focus is on creating real-time tools to slow spiraling thoughts and respond to stress in more balanced ways.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions while staying connected to what matters most. This includes building emotional flexibility and taking values-based steps even during hard seasons.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My foundation is a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and understood. I prioritize safety, trust, and allowing you to show up without pressure to have everything figured out.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness to help clients slow down, ground themselves, and become more aware of internal experiences without becoming overwhelmed by them.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use TF-CBT within a trauma-informed framework to help clients process and make sense of traumatic experiences in a safe, structured way. The goal is to reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences while building coping skills, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of safety.

I'm very happy to have found Jaylin. She is very easy to speak with and provides insights that I have yet to come up with. Sessions with her have provided deeper meaning to several situations in my life. I would highly recommend Jaylin, just not during my time slot.

My first visit with Jaylin was calm and relaxing. She listened with care and gave me a homework assignment. Nothing strenuous, just self reflection throughout the week.
