I’m Dr. Lexi, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a proud combat veteran who provides services to Nevada and Connecticut residents. I hold both a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in Social Work. I’ve dedicated my career to the field of social services and mental health, motivated by a genuine passion for helping others. My experience spans a range of settings, providing compassionate and effective support to individuals and families as they face various life challenges. In addition to my therapeutic work, I collaborate with businesses and business owners to promote mental health awareness in the workplace. My goal is to help create environments where well-being is priority. Choosing someone to open up to and embark on a mental health journey with is not easy. I understand the importance of finding the right support, and I strive to make this process as seamless and comfortable as possible. My approach is to meet you where you are, recognizing your unique experiences and challenges.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we focus on building a strong foundation of trust and understanding. I’ll ask questions to learn more about what’s bringing you to therapy, your personal history, and what goals you hope to achieve. We’ll move at your pace, there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My role is to listen, support, and begin identifying the patterns or challenges you want to work on. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clear sense of direction and next steps, so you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the process ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is how I blend evidence-based methods with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for your lived experience. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and trauma-informed care to help you gain practical tools while also addressing the root causes of emotional distress. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach, instead, I tailor each session to your goals, values, and pace. Clients often tell me they appreciate how supported, challenged, and empowered they feel in our work together. My goal is to help you build insight, develop resilience, and create lasting change—so that you not only feel better but thrive.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve individuals and couples who are ready to grow, even if they’re not sure where to start. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained; often due to life transitions, relationship struggles, work-related stress, or the weight of past trauma. I work well with those who want to better understand themselves, challenge old patterns, and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to others. Whether you're navigating cultural identity, coping with grief, rebuilding trust, or striving for clarity and purpose, I offer a supportive, solution-focused space where your goals guide our work. Together, we move toward healing, confidence, and meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In a CBT session, I work collaboratively with you to explore current challenges by identifying the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I start each session with a check-in and help you set a clear focus for our time together. I guide you in examining unhelpful thought patterns, challenging negative beliefs, and developing more balanced ways of thinking. I introduce practical tools and coping strategies tailored to your needs, and I encourage you to practice these skills between sessions. My goal is to support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

In a CPT session, I help you understand how a traumatic experience may be impacting the way you think about yourself, others, and the world. I guide you in identifying “stuck points” — unhelpful beliefs that keep you feeling distressed — and we work together to challenge and replace them with more balanced, accurate thoughts. I use structured worksheets and discussions to help you process the trauma in a safe, supportive environment. Through this work, I support you in reducing the emotional impact of the trauma and rebuilding a healthier perspective that aligns with your values and goals.

Couples Counseling

In a couples counseling session, I create a safe, neutral space where both partners can express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly. I help you identify patterns in your communication and behavior that may be contributing to conflict or disconnection. Together, we explore each person’s needs, perspectives, and emotional experiences. I guide you in learning healthier ways to communicate, resolve conflict, and rebuild trust and intimacy. My goal is to support you both in strengthening your relationship and developing tools to grow together with greater understanding and respect.

Grief Therapy

n a grief therapy session, I provide a compassionate space for you to process the pain of your loss at your own pace. I help you explore the emotional, mental, and even physical impact of grief while honoring the unique relationship you had with your loved one. Together, we make sense of the waves of emotion that come with mourning, including sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness. I support you in finding meaning, preserving connection, and navigating life after loss while adjusting to a new reality. My role is to walk with you through the healing process—not to rush it, but to help you feel seen, supported, and strengthened along the way.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

In a culturally sensitive therapy session, I create a respectful and inclusive space where your unique cultural background, identity, and lived experiences are acknowledged and valued. I strive to understand how your culture, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, and other intersecting identities shape your worldview and influence your mental health. I avoid assumptions and instead invite open dialogue, listening deeply to your perspective. Together, we explore how societal pressures, discrimination, or cultural expectations may impact your well-being. My goal is to provide support that honors who you are, empowers your voice, and aligns with your values.
