My name is Ameera Sullivan and I am Not Your Average Professional. I serve as a connector, mediator, thought partner, and compassionate companion. My mission is to help clients live authentically by addressing the social anxieties that come from compartmentalizing themselves to meet others’ expectations, guiding them toward wholeness, confidence, and a better quality of life. I am also a certified yoga instructor in Philadelphia.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, conversational atmosphere—like catching up with an old friend. My goal is to help you feel at ease as we begin prioritizing your mental health, something many of us tend to set aside while caring for others.
My authenticity is one of my greatest strengths, allowing me to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients from the very beginning.
As a Licensed Psychotherapist, I support BIPOC women facing anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. As a Coach, I help women reconnect with their purpose and rediscover their true selves. Whether you're healing, growing, or simply tired of doing it all alone—I’m here to help you realign with the life you deserve.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in sessions by helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. Through collaborative dialogue, clients are able to explore their thoughts in a safe space, develop more balanced perspectives, and practice healthier coping strategies.
As a certified Yoga Instructor, I am able to incorporate mindfulness in my sessions to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the present moment without judgment. By incorporating practices such as breathing exercises, body scans, or guided meditation, clients can learn to respond to stressors with greater calm and clarity. Mindfulness supports emotional regulation, reduces reactivity, and enhances overall well-being.
