New to Grow
Welcome, I’m Michelle, a nationally certified and licensed mental health counselor, Florida qualified supervisor and nationally approved clinical supervisor (LMHC, ACS, QS, NCC). I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults seeking support with mental health challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, relationship concerns, personality disorders, and emotional regulation, with additional expertise in anger management, substance use, problematic sexual behaviors, sexual offending behaviors, and court-mandated counseling. My approach is person-centered, nonjudgmental, and focused on helping clients build practical skills, accountability, and lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session focuses on connection and understanding. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what’s going on in your life right now. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll work together to clarify what you want and how therapy can help. We’ll move at your pace in a safe, nonjudgmental space, and you’ll have the opportunity to see if my approach feels like the right fit. Therapy works best when trust and comfort are present, and your voice guides the process.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe each person already holds the wisdom needed for change, and my role is to help uncover and strengthen it. I work collaboratively, walking alongside clients as they gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward lives that feel more stable and fulfilling. I support individuals facing trauma or loss, justice system involvement (including after serious criminal or sexual offenses), emotional regulation challenges, relationship and intimacy concerns, and feelings of being stuck or disconnected from their goals. My approach is compassionate, structured, and nonjudgmental, offering a safe space to make sense of difficult experiences and take meaningful steps forward at a sustainable pace.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with adults and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Many of my clients are coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or past experiences that continue to affect their relationships, emotions, or decision-making. I also work with individuals involved in the legal system or transitioning back into the community who want support, accountability, and real tools for change. My clients are often motivated to better understand themselves, take responsibility for their choices, and build safer, more stable, and more meaningful lives.
Eclectic
I use an integrative, evidence-based treatment approach, drawing from CBT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT techniques. Treatment focuses on identifying and restructuring unhelpful thinking patterns, improving emotional regulation, increasing insight, and supporting meaningful behavior change. My work balances structure with flexibility, combining skill-building, values exploration, and goal-oriented interventions. I emphasize accountability, collaboration, and practical application to support sustainable, long-term change.
