(she/her)
Welcome. I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor. Guided by a Narrative & Solution-Focused Therapy approach, I am committed to helping individuals re-author their personal stories to foster insight, self-agency, and meaningful transformation. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults seeking support with mental health challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, relationship concerns, and difficulties with emotional and behavioral regulation; with additional expertise in anger management, substance use, problematic sexual behaviors, sexual offending behaviors, and court-mandated counseling. My approach is person-centered, nonjudgmental, and focused on helping clients build practical skills, accountability, and lasting change.
Your first session focuses on connection and understanding. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what’s going on in your life right now. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll work together to clarify what you want and how therapy can help. We’ll move at your pace in a safe, nonjudgmental space, and you’ll have the opportunity to see if my approach feels like the right fit. Therapy works best when trust and comfort are present, and your voice guides the process.
I believe each person already holds the wisdom needed for change, and my role is to help uncover and strengthen it. I work collaboratively, walking alongside clients as they gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward lives that feel more stable and fulfilling. I support individuals facing trauma or loss, justice system involvement (including after serious criminal or sexual offenses), emotional regulation challenges, relationship and intimacy concerns, and feelings of being stuck or disconnected from their goals. My approach is compassionate, structured, and nonjudgmental, offering a safe space to make sense of difficult experiences and take steps toward meaningful change.
I am best positioned to work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity uncertainty, and complex relational dynamics, particularly those whose current distress is rooted in earlier attachment experiences, trauma, or invalidating environments. Many of the individuals I work with present as insightful but emotionally overwhelmed—struggling with overthinking, fear of abandonment, difficulty with boundaries, and relationship patterns that ultimately reinforce distress. I frequently support clients who feel “stuck” despite prior therapy, and who are looking for a deeper understanding of themselves beyond surface-level coping. My ideal client is open to exploring the underlying drivers of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, even when that process feels uncomfortable or unclear. They are often in transitional phases—reassessing relationships, identity, or life direction—and want to move toward a more grounded and cohesive sense of self. I work well with clients who benefit from both structure and depth: those who need concrete tools for emotional regulation and decision-making, while also engaging in reflective, narrative work to shift long-standing internal patterns. My approach supports individuals in building insight, increasing emotional tolerance, improving interpersonal effectiveness, and making more intentional, values-aligned choices in their lives.
Integrative
My work is primarily grounded in Narrative and Solution-Focused Therapy, with integrative use of CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT-informed skills when clinically indicated. Treatment emphasizes externalization of problems, identification of exceptions and strengths, strategic goal formation, and development of emotional and behavioral systems that support sustained change.
