My journey began working with children with disabilities, where I witnessed firsthand the power of patience, empathy, and connection. Over time, my work expanded to supporting families involved with child and family services—experiences that taught me the importance of understanding each person’s unique story without judgment. Through these experiences, I learned that a person’s life circumstances do not define their worth or potential. This perspective continues to shape my approach to therapy today: meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and helping them find strength and healing in their own journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is meant to feel comfortable and conversational—like sitting down to chat in a safe, supportive space. I encourage clients to show up as their authentic selves, knowing there is no judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll also take time to see if we’re a good personal and therapeutic fit. Personality, comfort, and trust matter in therapy, and it’s okay if we decide together that I’m not the right therapist for you. My goal is to support clients in finding the best possible care, even if that means helping them explore other options. I want clients to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and empowered—with clarity about next steps, whether we continue working together or not.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My individual therapeutic approach is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and collaboration. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe to be their true selves and supported without judgment. I take time to understand each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals, recognizing that no single approach fits everyone. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) to support insight, emotional regulation, and healing. Sessions are flexible and tailored, with an emphasis on building trust, fostering resilience, and empowering clients to create meaningful and sustainable change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals and adolescents who are open to self-reflection and seeking support during times of transition, stress, or emotional difficulty. I work well with clients who want a compassionate, honest therapeutic relationship and are ready to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. Many of my ideal clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or the impact of past life experiences. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about next steps but are motivated to build insight, resilience, and healthier coping strategies in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I have extensive experience using CBT with adolescents, adults, and couples to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns, understand how these patterns impact emotional well-being and daily functioning, and develop more adaptive ways of thinking and responding.

Strength-Based

I utilize a strengths-based, client-centered approach that emphasizes identifying and building upon each client’s existing abilities, resilience, and resources. Rather than focusing solely on deficits or symptoms, treatment highlights what clients are already doing well and how those strengths can be leveraged to support growth, coping, and long-term change. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to recognize personal strengths, values, cultural supports, and past successes, and intentionally integrate these into treatment goals and interventions. This approach promotes empowerment, self-efficacy, and hope, while supporting clients in developing practical skills to navigate challenges and improve overall functioning.
