With nearly three decades as a psychologist— and years of experience in healthcare management leadership roles—I’ve learned that life is complex, but healing is always possible. I understand the unique pressures of leadership, decision-making, and balancing life’s demands, and I’m passionate about helping people rediscover their resilience and strength. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and maybe even a little lighter by the time you leave.
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you hope to get out of therapy, and any questions you have. I’ll explain how I work, and together we’ll decide what feels right for you. Think of it as a conversation—no pressure, no judgment, just a chance to start building trust.
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I combine evidence-based strategies with practical conversations. I also find that a little humor can be incredibly helpful. Mental health is serious, but it doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for change, we’ll work together to find clarity and build tools that actually make a difference.
I enjoy working with adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite shift on their own. Many come in feeling exhausted from dealing with these feelings and have reached a point where they're ready for something different — ready to try therapy, ready to feel better, ready to stop doing this alone. Their goals often include understanding their patterns and building tools that help life feel more manageable and hopeful again. I also love working with LGBTQ+ clients who grew up dealing with mixed messages about who they were allowed to be. Many are navigating identity, relationships, family expectations, or the long-term impact of having had to shrink or edit themselves. Their goals often include unlearning old survival strategies, healing from shame, strengthening boundaries and deepening self-acceptance. I’m honored to offer a space where they can explore all of this with safety, compassion, and a little lightness.
Eclectic
I utilize a variety of techniques and approaches depending on the individual needs of the person. I believe each person knows what is best for them. My role is to facilitate understanding of thought patterns and belief systems that impact one's emotional wellbeing, and to assist in modifying these to improve levels of depression and anxiety.
