I’ve been in the field for 8 years now and enjoy working alongside people with various backgrounds. My previous experience as a Kaiser therapist, community mental health and private practice allows me to better help my clients. I use mainly narrative, CBT, DBTand transformational evidence based techniques to work towards well being and growth. I also have experience utilizing EMDR.
In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, and build rapport. Next, I dive into the specific challenge you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.
