I'm here to help those who otherwise wouldn't be able to pay out of pocket and provide an opportunity to meet with a doctoral-level therapist with specialized training in couples, family, and individual therapy. I am dedicated to the field and actively engage in continuing education and research to sharpen my craft. Aside from that, I'm a Therapist of Color, Asian-American, in an interracial marriage of 20 years, and have four children. I'm available virtually at this time.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect to FEEL what it means to EXPERIENCE themselves. Discussing context, background, and other important data is critical to therapy. However, I also believe that the first session is the best time to help clients make contact with themselves (or their partner) in a way that feels safe and genuine. I try to model this for my clients so that it further deepens the work.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm just a human being who happens to have a gift for deep listening, reflecting, being moved, conceptualizing patterns in relationships, unpacking the old stuff, and providing a space where others can mutually examine and experience something new.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I truly enjoy serving clients who are in a place where they're ready to work, reflect deeply, and seek a transformative relationship with themselves and others. If you're looking for a provider you want to see long-term, that wouldn't be me. I want to see you get where you need to go and give you space to try it on your own. If you feel like you need a tune-up and want to come back at another time, I would be honored to reconnect.

My treatment methods

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

I've been studying/practicing AEDP since 2017 and more specifically learning the model and applying it in my work with both individuals and couples. AEDP for Couples is now referred to as Transformative Couples Therapy

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapies I use include Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Transformative Couples Therapy. Attachment theory presupposes that our earliest interactions with our caretakers provide information about the world

Couples Counseling

I'm highly trained in AEDP for Couples which is now referred to as Transformative Couples Therapy (TCT). TCT uses many of the tenets of AEDP but expands these into the relational dynamic between couple. Specifically, therapy aims to build a secure base, heal from the get-go, establish safety and connection, detect transformance strivings, foster more conscious and loving speech.
