Hello and welcome to my practice! I am a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Master's from California University of Pennsylvania and have been in the mental health field for over 29 years. I worked as a family therapist for approximately 12 years and have been providing individual therapy for the past 3 years. I help teens and adults struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and depression to become the best versions of themselves.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session we'll begin with brief introductions, then discuss specific challenges you're experiencing. This will help us create a personalized treatment plan to assist you with reducing your symptoms and improving your mental health.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I am compassionate, warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental. My clients seem to be comfortable with opening up during our sessions and tend to benefit from my support. My extensive experience in the mental health field allows me to be comfortable in talking with others about their mental health.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults who struggle with anxiety or stress. I enjoy helping my clients discover the tools that work best for them to improve their mental health.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I primarily utilize CBT with my clients. I find it to be an effective method to assist them with recognizing thought patterns and altering them, leading to more positive behavior. I help clients to identify distorted thinking and reframe these thoughts into more realistic ones that promote healthy change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I provide a supportive and accepting environment for clients to grow and make positive changes in their lives. I provide empathy and unconditional positive regard to my clients to give them a safe place to talk about their feelings.

Christian Counseling

Although I am not a certified Christian counselor, if the client prefers a Christian-based approach, I am more than happy to provide this. I am a Christian and like to do Christian counseling but I don't pursue this method unless it is preferred by the client.

EMDR

I believe EMDR is a highly effective mode of therapy. I recently completed a 55-hour EMDR training. I will continue to be under supervision as I practice EMDR and consult with my trainer. I passed my EMDR exam and will be certified in EMDR following my required supervision.
