I specialize in trauma such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, and death/illness.

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for over 17 years. I have over 25 years of experience treating children & adults with a variety of mental health concerns & diagnoses. I am a nationally certified counselor, a multi-state Licensed Professional Counselor, have worked in schools, both as a teacher and a counselor, and have experience working in group homes, hospitals, and outpatient settings. I also teach psychology classes at local colleges and universities and am an active volunteer in the community. I have a strong focus on proper diagnostic assessment, paired with empathic treatment planning. I also enjoy working with students and Residents, and am a board-approved LPC Supervisor in the state of Virginia.

I am a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified by the National Board of Social Work in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I am a Bilingual Clinical Therapist with over 15+ years of experience in mental health and specialize in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Disorder, complex trauma that results from grief and loss, domestic violence, among other traumatic events. Life transitions are difficult and can result in situations such as cultural adjustment, prejudice/discrimination, decreased self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. I base my therapy on a powerful blend of traditional, holistic approaches that are client-centered and evidence-based.
