Dr. Susan Shipley practices clinical psychology and works with clients, both adults and children. You have found a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome those things holding you back. Let's work together! My clients often have challenges such as anxiety, depression, and grief. I've had experiences working with young adults with anorexia, and people with phobias, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive thoughts and other intrusive thoughts, and folks who may have a dependent personality. I'm a school psychologist familiar with children with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, developmental delays, and parents. Occasionally life challenges meet us at a particularly vulnerable time, and I work with people who have adjustment to such life changes, people who find they are severely co-dependent on others with addiction dependency, the alcoholic and drug dependent person. In addition, I've assisted those experiencing grief, including job loss. I'm an artist myself and a trained art therapist. I found, art making often speaks with more feeling and force than words alone. We will incorporate art if you choose. CBT works in a collaborative manner between the therapist and the client. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self-approach, addressing your needs. I also integrate mindfulness, yoga, and art to help you develop a stronger relationship with others and most importantly yourself. You have found a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

Hello! I am Theresa, a Generation X Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field for 25+ years. I am here to offer support for the hardworking folks out there who don't get a lot of time to take care of themselves. Are you a working mom juggling your life, your kids and maybe elderly parents too? Are you a First Responder, Nurse or other medical professional exposed to a lot of trauma and loss? Have you thought about getting support from a therapist but aren't sure how to start? Reach out to me and I can help make the process more comfortable. So many of us are struggling, trying to manage everything on our own. Do you feel overwhelmed or exhausted, do you worry all the time and can't get your brain to slow down and be quiet? I totally get it. Please know that there's nothing wrong with you! We are human and all go through things. It's normal to go through hard times and it's OK to get support. Asking for help isn't weak. And therapy really can help-- it may not be able to solve things going on in the world that are out of our control, but it can help us manage the tough stuff and move towards easier, happier times.

Are you having a hard time and in need of someone to listen and help you figure things out? Then now is the time to begin therapy. Hello, I am Michael Zwizanski, a licensed therapist based in Philadelphia, working with individual clients throughout Pennsylvania. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in 2017. In my work, I seek to make a connection that will cultivate a safe, judgement-free space to work through challenging issues & promote self-discovery. My stance in life and in my practice is anti-racist, sex positive, LGBTQ+ competent and gender affirming. I recognize my privilege as a cis-gender, white, male professional and strive to position myself as an equal collaborator in the processes of growth and change within my clients. Coming from an entertainment industry background, I have worked extensively with artists, musicians, actors and entrepreneurs and understand the creative process, along with the self-determination that pushes it forward and the self-doubt that can hold it in stagnation. I also specialize in working with clients experiencing major life transitions, such as; becoming a parent, getting married or starting a long-term relationship, experiencing separation or divorce, major career changes, graduating from school, health changes and loss and grief. I have experience working with queer, gay, lesbian, non-binary and transgender clients of various cultural backgrounds and have supported clients along their journey to finding their authentic self and identity. I am also competent in understanding and working with ethical non-monogamous individuals. Reaching out for support is not easy. I commend you on taking the first step toward a more compassionate and insightful understanding of yourself and thank you for putting your trust in me to accompany you on that journey.

We all need space to prioritize our thoughts and feelings, to say what we need to say out loud, to someone who will not judge us for how we think and feel. Oftentimes, we cannot expect the people in our lives to be impartial or unbiased. Sometimes the people in our lives are far too involved in what causes us to need this space, to process our trauma, and they might not realize why we are anxious or depressed. In the therapeutic relationship, it is all about what you want and need. I will listen and ask thoughtful questions and help you recognize patterns and make connections. Life is a journey and I want you to welcome self-exploration, not fear it.

However, it is also the first step of healing and I would be honored to help you through the therapeutic process with immense trust, empathy and understanding. Through my experience working with various populations, all going through some of life’s greatest pains, I aim to provide a safe space for my clients. A safe space where they can explore the complexities of their pasts, the melting pot of their emotions, and the truths of their realities. By utilizing mediation and grounding techniques, we uncover what the authentic self means to each individual and journey towards achieving that in daily life. As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, I am now an LCSW who specializes in working with children, teens, and adults working to overcome stressors in their lives. I have extensive experience working with families in the medical setting as well as individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, living with or being affected by someone living with a chronic/terminal illness, grief & loss and difficult relationship dynamics. I strive to be an open and welcoming sounding board who listens without judgment and responds with empathy. It would be a great gift to work with you and help you find strengths, overcome challenges, develop coping strategies and focus on creating a happy, healthier you. My therapy practice is online, using video sessions via a secure platform. Please reach out regarding availability if you are interested in exploring a meaningful, professional and bespoke therapeutic relationship.

Hi there and welcome! I’m Beth and I'm glad that you are here and have taken the first step towards self-care. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA. Maybe you've reached a point in your life where you have lost your motivation and your emotions seem to have gotten the best of you; perhaps you have a child who you are deeply concerned for. Whatever the issues may be, EVERYONE deserves to live to life that's meaningful. I strive to create a safe space where individuals can face their challenges head-on, become empowered, and regain a sense of security so they can begin living their best lives. I am a highly sensitive person (HSP), who is extremely empathic toward others. If you want to know more about HSP, just ask! I am a very down to earth person who has her own struggles just like everyone else. I have two wonderful children, a son who recently got married and a daughter who is currently in college. Between them and my husband, we all take turns driving each other crazy! I have a serious chocolate addiction and my family must hide it from me if it is in my house! If I am not eating chocolate, I am probably watching ID Discovery as I am obsessed with crime shows! I also love being outdoors in nature, as it tends to keep me balanced. The majority of strategies and tools that I offer my clients, have been implemented in my own personal life at some point. I believe that my life experience as a therapist, educator, mother, wife, daughter and friend have provided me with the qualifications to be a relatable ally for my clients. I spent the first 20 years of my career as a school teacher in Philadelphia, mostly with the younger grades, where I was privy to numerous situations occurring in their homes including all types of abuse and neglect. Sadly, the education system had very little interest in addressing the mental health issues these children were faced with. Instead, the district’s focus was solely on standardized testing and getting students to be on or above grade level in all academic areas. So, I did what I could, academically, and spent the rest of the day providing mental health support and a safe space for these kids who so desperately needed it. I came to realize that my calling was to provide support for those with emotional needs. I resigned and begin graduate school for mental health counseling.

Do you ever feel like sometimes it is just too much to handle? When you pause to take a moment to think, are you pondering why your connections with others aren't allowing you to gain the elements you need to be at peace?
