After years of working in the IT world I transitioned into the addictions and mental health field following a calling from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in my middle age. My acceptance of Jesus Christ, began my internal transformation and continuation of being transformed day by day leading to receiving a calling and a purpose to help heal those suffering. This transformation began my personal journey of healing from domestic violence; different types of abuse, drug abuse and much more. I learned in this journey that the Lord uses our suffering for eternal gain. You may find yourself at a similar crossroad suffering with a chemical addiction; domestic violence or abuse; various types of trauma/PTSD; or somewhere on the anxiety, depressive, obsessive compulsive, ADHD, or personality disorder spectrum; interpersonal relationship issues; or challenges with transitioning into adulthood from 18-21’ish ranging from financial, job/career, relationships, moving out to your own place, or learning more of who you are. Maybe you’re a parent struggling with how to raise a child, unsure if parenting skills or other areas are effective or experiencing a child with behavioral/emotional problems. My name is Beth Pilous-Smith (Licensed in OHIO). As a therapist, I am passionate about empowering individuals. I aim to join you in successfully reaching your goals of repairing/resolving conflicts, lessening distress and emotional pain, solving problems, and enhancing your overall well-being. I work hard to create a safe, calm place where my clients feel supported and heard. While I have worked with clients with multiple therapeutic issues, I have spent many years specifically assisting clients with issues related to trauma, adoption, educational needs, attachment, divorce, parenting concerns, and mood disorders. Additionally, I am kink, polyamorous, nonmonogamy, and BDSM friendly. I have more than 29 years of experience working in mental health in clinical, school, and community settings.
