As a Reality Therapist, who is also a certified DBT practitioner, I believe we are all responsible for the choices we make. I have worked with people of all ages suffering from alcohol and drug-related addictions, borderline personality disorder, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and interpersonal problems. My core values are integrity, truthfulness, responsibility, compassion, and accountability and I operate from a place of moral principle. My purpose is to speak life into others and teach them how to do the same, starting within themselves. When we learn to connect our mind, body, and spirit we can accept things for what they are, people for who they are, and still find harmony within. To me, life is like a roller coaster, and sometimes the only way to enjoy it is to throw your hands up and scream until you find the laughter within. We all suffer. We all have a story to tell. I’m here to listen to yours and help you find the peace that surpasses all understanding because we were never designed to go through life alone. Join me if you want to learn how to take back control of your life and become comfortably uncomfortable. You are unique. You are beloved. You are enough. It's time to be who you were designed and created to be!

As a therapist specializing in systems theory and a person-centered approach, I want to introduce myself and share how I can support family members of individuals struggling with addiction and anxiety. My name is Lainie, and I have dedicated my practice to helping families navigate complex challenges while fostering understanding, healing, and resilience. In working with families impacted by addiction, I approach therapy from a systems perspective, which means I view the family as an interconnected unit where each member's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence and are influenced by others. Through this lens, I aim to help family members recognize and address unhealthy patterns of communication, roles, and dynamics that may be contributing to the addiction cycle. Additionally, I integrate person-centered principles into my practice, emphasizing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine acceptance for each family member's unique experiences and perspectives. I believe that creating a nonjudgmental and supportive space is essential for promoting open dialogue, trust, and collaboration within the family system. For family members of individuals struggling with anxiety, I use systems theory to explore how anxiety impacts the family as a whole and how family dynamics may contribute to or alleviate anxiety symptoms. By helping family members understand the interconnected nature of their experiences, we can work together to identify strengths, coping strategies, and communication skills that promote a healthier and more resilient family system. Overall, my approach combines the systemic understanding of family dynamics with the person-centered focus on individual experiences and needs. I strive to empower family members to communicate effectively, set boundaries, support each other, and navigate challenges with compassion and resilience. Together, we can create a therapeutic journey that promotes healing, growth, and positive change within the family system.

Hi! My name is Billy. Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, stress, anger...or possibly all five? These issues are not uncommon and can be debilitating, especially when guilt or shame are added to the mix. But you can kick them all to the curb. All it takes is a willingness to change your perspectives. I've worked with thousands of clients (adults and children) who struggle with self-defeating beliefs that zap the joy out of life. And I've found that Hope and Purpose, along with healthy doses of Motivation and Creativity, crush inner demons. How do you find Hope and Purpose? It's not as complicated as you might think. We are made to help each other. We are made to communicate. We are made to have a positive impact. Sometimes, though, life attacks from all directions and leaves us feeling defeated. That's when we need help. I'm here to listen. I'm here to learn about your struggles and find ways to help you view them differently. And, who knows? I may even share some of my Blackstone Griddle secrets along the way. God Bless!

Life is hard- we all need a little help and support on the journey. I see myself as walking beside the people I work with. Some need to look into the past and process it, receive a different perspective on it. Some have a specific goal in mind like decreasing anxiety by learning new skills in a short period of time. Others need a listening ear, with some insights sprinkled in. Kids need to play. Adults at times benefit from clarity and analysis. What do you need? I believe the interpersonal connection between counselor and client can be healing in and of itself. People are ones that hurt us, we're also the ones that heal each other.
