I am a LCSW practicing in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of NC since 2010. Therapy is an opportunity for learning and growth, and I have witnessed amazing outcomes for individuals who worked hard in treatment to elicit positive personal change. I have extensive experience as a Crisis Clinician in Emergency Departments, as an outpatient therapy provider, a Mobile Crisis Clinician, a Health Coach, and as an Employee Assistance Program therapist. I am equipped to provide clinical supervision for associate professionals seeking licensure through the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board. My passions include helping others to solve problems; as well as deal with various challenges including trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, faith crises, abandonment wounds, and identity experiences; all while promoting integrity and respect. I particularly enjoy working with first responders, law enforcement, young adults, aging populations and athletes. I love working with anyone who is truly invested in their own healing, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey. My therapy assistant (dog), Banjo, may often be seen quietly snoozing in the background during online sessions.

Maybe she’s born with it! 🧠 Maybe it’s late stage capitalism. ~ you are worth so much more than your productivity. you need rest and care. you are a human being ~ not a human doing. you are allowed to just be ~ A social worker at ❤️‍🔥, my clinical approach is grounded in acknowledging the harm caused by systems of oppression + structural racism. My practice centers intersectional feminist values + disability justice. I am anti-racist + LGBTQIA+ celebratory. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇵🇸 As a therapist + human, I recognize + reflect on the privilege I hold + how this has assisted me in navigating the world. The lens I look through may be of interest to you. I am a second generation immigrant settler from Lebanon. I am a Millenial. I have a Master's education and grew up in an upper-middle class family. I am a non-binary queer woman. I am able-bodied, chronically ill and a survivor. I live in the colonized portion of Wabanaki territory now known as Mount Desert Island, Maine. My practice supports gender-diverse + queer individuals with atypical ways of thinking, feeling + relating. I serve highly intellectual folks + deep thinkers. I specialize in working with "Talented & Gifted burn-out kids" who are in the process of unmasking. Many of my clients are late-diagnosed or un-diagnosed Autistic/ADHD. I work with hyper-sensitive, self-aware, highly anxious survivors of complex trauma who experience obsessive thoughts, executive dysfunction, social withdrawal//avoidance + sleep disturbances. I vibe with clients who are interested in understanding themselves + how their early childhood experiences shaped their relational patterns today. If this is you, I would be honored to support you on this journey of ✨unlearning✨🌱
