I’ll ask you about what’s been going on and how you’re experiencing it. I’ll ask you how your much-needed date night went this past weekend, or how far you made it into that book you wanted to read. I sincerely want to know how you’ve been doing. I’m not afraid to talk about the hard or awkward stuff, and I’m also not afraid to let you know when you’re limiting yourself. Our therapy is a judgment free zone. You don’t judge my cats who sometimes make an appearance and I won’t judge you. I will put in the time and show up and if you will do the same great things can happen! Some of you may be here because you are going through something that is very painful and my idea of ‘fun’ therapy may not seem to fit. I encourage you to give it a chance. We will have the difficult conversations and cry the tears but perhaps my approach will make all of that a little more bearable.
