Are you feeling depressed and anxious? Are you finding your life is in turmoil because you have to make a change? Maybe you are changing careers or jobs, you’re recently divorced, your home is now an empty nest, or you are retiring. These are only a few of life’s transitions that can bring on depression and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the therapy I use most often, states that A (Antecedent action or event) + B (our belief about that antecedent action or event) = Consequences, (depression or happiness). If you think of a transition or event (A) as a negative experience (B), you will experience the consequences of your belief, as depression and anxiety (C-negative) or as happiness and excitement (C-positive). Unfortunately, many of us view a transition or change as a bad thing, a time when we are facing the unknown without a map. I would like to help you see change as an opportunity, a time for growth and exploration. Come with me. Together we can make change a positive force for a bright future. please schedule appoints only on the hour.😀

Is trauma or abuse from your past affecting your day-to-day life, or do feel like you are coming up against the same obstacles over and over again that are keeping you from living your life fully? Together we can work to help you make meaningful, long-term changes in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment. During our sessions, we’ll work together to clarify your needs. Issues we can address during our sessions include (but are not limited to): multi-cultural issues, divorce care, chronic illness, co-parenting, women's empowerment, abuse, trauma and grief. Our sessions will be tailored to address your specific needs. I have dedicated my career to helping people heal inner wounds, develop closer family bonds, and improve their lives. Counseling is a journey of discovery that I enjoy with each client, and I feel grateful to be able to share that journey with you. Our sessions together will be a secure space to get the emotional support and professional guidance you need.

Welcome! I am Kimberly. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 14 years of experience providing therapy. Many of us desire a sense of peace, connection, and well-being within ourselves and in our life. Yet life circumstances and even parts of ourselves can prevent us from having these experiences in our day to day lives. Providing a safe and non-judgmental place to explore your struggles and emotional pain is essential to my practice. I feel grateful to be able to support those who desire to grow and heal.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, therefore my role is to assist you in working towards solutions that benefit you in the best way possible. My area of focus is working with adults around stress, anxiety and depression. My highest priority as a therapist is to cultivate a space for you as a client to feel safe, supported, and unconditionally accepted. I have been doing therapy for 23 years and am very passionate and committed to supporting others on their healing journey. My clinical approach is person-centered first and foremost, while incorporating cognitive-behavioral and motivational interviewing methods to focus on your goals and motivations, and target what solutions are most effective and appropriate for you. As a licensed clinical social worker and fellow human, I know the importance of telling your story in a safe space; to feel heard, supported, seen, and to allow the courageous process of healing to take place. To grieve, express anger, fear and to celebrate your strengths and personal growth. I look forward to working with you

My name is Circe Dunwoody. I am a license psychotherapist. In my psychotherapy practice I help couples and individuals to overcome life difficulties by using cognitive behavior therapy. Many couples and individuals feel overwhelmed by the desire to balance the high demands from work and family life. They report feelings of emptiness and loss of drive. Some report feeling of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Others contemplate divorce as a solution to decrease the pressure they are internalizing. You can contact me for help if you are experiencing some of the feelings I have mentioned above, and you are ready to make changes in your life. l work with couples and individuals in a safe and confidential platform environment. In life we all need support and understanding from others. Sometimes the best solution is to seek professional help. Having emotional support is extremely helpful. Relying on friends or family members is also helpful. However, you may not want to overwhelm them with problems. The most intelligent solution is seeking professional help.
