During Lakeyia's nursing career, she developed a strong passion for psychiatric nursing after working in various settings. Due to Lakeyia's strong passion for psychiatric nursing, she was encouraged to pursue a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner certificate at Walden University, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing. In addition to Lakeyia's professional experience, her clinical practice focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients dealing with psychiatric various illnesses.
