If you want a different kind of experience with someone who is open-minded, accepting, warm, curious, and insightful, I can help. We all have a story that's influenced by everything that has happened in our lives, and we are each in charge of the way that story unfolds. I love to use stories, myths, and visual analogies in my work. Let's work on yours together! I have served clients for 15 years and have significant experience with groups, families, adults, adolescents, and children. I am a licensed professional counselor, a national certified counselor, and a certified professional counselor supervisor. I provide pre-licensed masters level counselors with clinical supervision as well. My philosophy of counseling is inspired by the work of Carl Jung who incorporated concepts of archetypes into his theories and I am interested in discovering how we can apply these ideas to our daily lives using a depth psychology perspective. We are all here for a reason and can change the world from within. I'd be honored to help you on your journey.

Hello, I am Shaqueena. Are you tired of being tired? Do you feel that no one understands your situation or that no one can relate? Are you unsure if therapy is right for you? If you are here, then that means that you are ready and motivated to make some changes in your life. Seeking help can sometimes be tough, which is why I believe that we all experience things in our life that goes beyond our ability to cope and when that happens we need a little more assistance. As a licensed professional counselor, my ultimate goal is to first normalize seeking assistance by decreasing the stigma on mental health. In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it. My preference for treatment is to utilize a trauma-informed approach in addition to CBT, EMDR and Choice/Reality Therapy.

I want to assist individuals, couples, and families, ages 5 to 99+, on their chosen paths to living a healthy, mentally stable lifestyle by creating a safe, compassionate, and caring environment where individuals are free to be themselves, where they are comfortable in their skins, where they can identify their strengths, identify their goals, and pursue those goals on their timeline. I also want to strive to help families define their normal and achieve that vision while developing positive self-esteem, healthy coping skills, and appropriate boundaries.

Hi! I am an energetic, compassionate Mindfulness Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in both GA & SC. I have experience working with individuals in outpatient, inpatient, and virtual mental health and addiction settings. I also have experience working in community mental health in which I served individuals who have persistent and severe mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, etc. I have more than 14 years of experience in the counseling arena. I've had the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life who are aiming to either "make a change" or "be the change". I incorporate a client centered approach, which enables me to build the necessary rapport to make the therapeutic process less intimidating for clients to define and work towards achieving identified goals. My approach is mainly Somatic and Mindfulness, but I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, Holistic, Psycho-dynamic and Acceptance Therapy. My compassion and empathetic demeanor encourages the client to discuss their deepest emotions and experiences. My self-less attitude allows me to meet the client “where they are”, providing a safe space, free from judgment, while providing respect, transparency, genuineness, warmth and engagement. I believe in the importance of addressing the whole person, mind, body and spirit. I believe that individuals in general are doing the best they can and with the intentional practice of mindfulness, and taking life one moment at a time, we can all learn how to manage stress, while learning and utilizing better coping skills to help with serious illness, anxiety, depression and other mental health and addiction concerns. Always remember, small progress is still progress! I look forward to meeting you and working with you as we tackle this thing called life together!

I am Jennie Gray Mulligan, a North Carolina native and transplant to Atlanta 8 years ago. I practice psychotherapy as a licensed clinical social worker and enjoy integrating the knowledge learned through a 200 hour yoga teacher training into the work that I do with clients. Meditation and yoga are great supports for therapy work or as a stand alone to increase our capacity to tolerate difficulties, learn the ways our mind can create problems for us and improve our ability to focus our attention. I completed my Master’s in Social Work through the University of North Carolina and clinical training and direct supervision for 6 years through Emory's Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. My work with individuals and families takes a holistic understanding of the ways our brain, body/mind, emotions, and relationships affect our overall wellbeing.  I offer different modalities as a way to work with our whole being to improve overall wellness; including Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness Based practices including Guided Breathwork and am furthering my education in Imago Couples Counseling and EMDR. I always will meet the person where they are and explore what works for them. Cultural sensitivity is a hallmark of my practice and I vow to and provide a welcoming space for all humans regardless of race, religion, gender and sexual preferences/orientation. Clients with some(not limited to these) of the following issues may benefit from working with me: anxiety, life transitions, coping with new diagnosis and long term illness, depression, grief and loss, learning differences, ADHD, and childhood trauma. I believe that with adequate therapeutic supports, in the community and at home, that most all individuals have the capacity to live their fullest lives and be the best version of themselves.   I am married to my longterm partner Josh and we reside in Atlanta with our young son and two precious felines. In my spare time you may find me exploring the outdoors, traveling to a new city or teaching yoga to inmates in the county jail.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience in counseling and direct case management. Most of my career has been spent with children and families in the midst of homelessness, foster care, and/or adoption, so I am no stranger to walking alongside others in their lowest valleys and on their highest mountains. I have also worked with many adults and couples as they navigate depression, grief and loss, anxiety, and relationship issues. With a background in psychology and a continued interest in the way that our brains impact our lives, I work with each unique client to untangle the white noise in their mind and achieve their goals.
