Hello, I am a certified family and psychiatric nurse practitioner with six years of provider experience in Florida. My main aim is to help clients understand that true healing lies in their thought processes and commitment to curing mental health disorders. Thoughts, feelings, and actions encompass our daily lives and must be in harmony or as close to balance for everyone in order for us to live up to our full potential. I have worked as a certified nurse assistant and understand the necessity of working hard to provide for myself and my family. In addition, I have worked as a registered nurse in the hospital setting helping to heal those who have suffered from heart attacks, strokes, amputations, blindness, diabetes, sickle cell, cancer, motor vehicle accidents, etc. With this acquired experience, knowledge and understanding I have concluded that life is fragile. Thus, it is important to live each day to the best of our ability. Uniquely, I have been a family nurse practitioner and worked in primary care and urgent care. Thus, I understand and can treat hypertension, diabetes, back pain, hypothyroidism, common skin conditions, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and much more. I specialize in psychiatry and see patients 18 years and older. Initial visits are one hour, and follow-up appointments are a half hour. This reduces the need to rush and allows us to be as comprehensive as possible to provide the best mental health care possible. The goal and vision are to work with you and to establish a positive relationship in which I recommend various treatments. Still, it’s done in partnership and collaboration to assist you with becoming the best version of yourself. It would be my privilege and honor to serve as your mental health provider. My name is Shannon Turner-Anderson. I am a Florida Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I hold a Master's Degree in Nursing from Alabama University in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Before relocating to Florida, I lived in Windsor, Connecticut. I am married with three daughters, ages seven, seventeen, and twenty-two. I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church on Sundays, and watching track and field and basketball. I am passionate about mental health care. I have worked in an in-patient psychiatry hospital for over eight years providing mental health care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients with mental illnesses, disorders, and substance abuse. I also have worked in a correctional facility and a skilled nursing facility in a managerial capacity for several years. I describe my work ethic as reliable and consistent. I am committed to providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care and community-based outpatient services in the office and virtually.

I am passionate about combining Western Medicine with holistic approaches to help people live happier, healthier, and fuller lives. I have been working in the healthcare field since 1989 and have experience treating a wide variety of patients in various settings including psychiatry, primary care and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have been a Registered Nurse since 1993, and have worked in many different areas of healthcare throughout my career. In 2000 I graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College and practiced acupuncture at the Tao of Health acupuncture clinic in southern New Hampshire. Dr. Marcelline L. Girlie is a Haitian-born native of the island of St Martin. She is a dual board- certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with various experience in emergency medicine, critical care, primary care and pediatrics. She is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Dr. Girlie then pursued her Master's Degree in Nursing as well as her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Robert-Morris University in Pittsburg, PA. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health and mental care problems throughout the lifespan. Dr. Girlie has an intense approach in the care of and advocacy of the family unit. Ensuring the physical and mental health of the individuals are catered to no matter their life’s journeys and stages of development. She emphasizes on the attention to behavior changes and the need for social and therapeutic interventions. Dr. Girlie practices an integrative style including functional medicine and nutritional psychiatry. She has taught in academia for various universities and continues to teach in various formats about physical and mental care.
