I thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I have worked in health care since January 2006. I know that the healthcare field is a calling, and one of my life missions is to impact others positively. I went explicitly into psychiatry because, during high school I felt there were only a few subjects I could apply to everyday life. Everything starts with the mind, and as the famous quote states, “I think therefore I am.” First are the thoughts, whether conscious or unconscious, then feelings, i.e., emotions, and then actions. Thoughts, feelings, and actions encompass our daily lives and must be in harmony or as close to balance for everyone in order for us to live up to our full potential. I have worked as a certified nurse assistant and understand the necessity of working hard to provide for myself and my family. In addition, I have worked as a registered nurse in the hospital setting helping to heal those who have suffered from heart attacks, strokes, amputations, blindness, diabetes, sickle cell, cancer, motor vehicle accidents, etc. With this acquired experience, knowledge and understanding I have concluded that life is fragile. Thus, it is important to live each day to the best of our ability. Uniquely, I have been a family nurse practitioner and worked in primary care and urgent care. Thus, I understand and can treat hypertension, diabetes, back pain, hypothyroidism, common skin conditions, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and much more. I specialize in psychiatry and see patients 18 years and older. Initial visits are one hour, and follow-up appointments are a half hour. This reduces the need to rush and allows us to be as comprehensive as possible to provide the best mental health care possible. The goal and vision are to work with you and to establish a positive relationship in which I recommend various treatments. Still, it’s done in partnership and collaboration to assist you with becoming the best version of yourself. It would be my privilege and honor to serve as your mental health provider. I have worked in the hospital setting helping to heal those who have suffered from heart attacks, strokes, amputations, diabetes, cancer, motor vehicle accidents, etc. With this acquired experience, knowledge and understanding I have concluded that life is fragile. Thus, it is important to live each day to the best of our ability.

Hi there, I am originally from Michigan and moved to Brevard County, FL in 1997. I have a BA in Communications from Michigan State University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan. I worked for Candle Lighters of Brevard, when I first moved to town. My father had a stroke and he was in and out of hospitals and nursing homes for 6 years. His illness prompted me to go back to school at the University of Central Florida to obtain my BSN-RN. I worked Labor Delivery/Mother Baby at Wuesthof Melbourne for five years, during which time I went back to University of Central Florida to achieve my MSN/ Family Nurse Practitioner. During that time I also got divorced and was a single mother to an amazing son. I have been through many challenges and bumps in the road throughout my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood which has given me enhanced understanding, compassion, empathy, and a lack of being judgemental. I went back to school yet again, and completed my PMHNP from the University of Cincinnati. I specialize in integrative medicine which entails finding the root of the illness and treating it with lifestyle changes, healthy diet, exercise, Bio-identical hormone replacements, supplements, and medications that fix the problem instead of bandaiding the symptoms. I believe that the mind, body, and spirit are connected and need to be balanced, to feel a sense of over all well being. I do not believe in "cookie cutter or one size fits all medicine". I believe that you know your body and mind better than anyone. We will work together to find the root cause and discover the best treatment for you! Sometimes we may have to try many different options before we find the right fit, but I am like Felix the cat I have a large bag of tricks and I am able to think outside the box!!

Hi there! My name is Galia. I am a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, who likes to provide non-rushed, holistic treatment. Our sessions will typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your preference. I prefer to combine solution-focused psychotherapy with medication management, as I believe we get further with both chemistry and logic. I am receptive to clients who lean towards med management only or non-medication solutions. I also like to offer medical food treatment with or without psychotropics when appropriate. Data is very important in the subjective world of psychiatry. Therefore, I offer neurotransmitter, genetic, and lab testing to those clients who are data driven as well. As far as specialties, I have experience with the treatment of anxiety disorders to include OCD; mood disorders including bipolar; insomnia; personality disorders; psychosis; substance misuse; ADHD; adjustment disorders; complicated grieving; trauma; self-esteem issues; interpersonal issues; women-mood disorders such as peripartum, perimenstrual, and perimenopausal mood and anxiety disorders; as well as geriatric cognitive and mood disorders. Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, General Adult Psychiatrist NJ, NY, VA, FL Dr. Marina Nesterenko finished Medical school in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1997 and worked as a child psychiatrist in Ukraine. After relocation to the USA, she completed a Psychiatry Residency program at SUNY Upstate, followed by Child Fellowship in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Nesterenko is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Area of Interest: autism, aggression, developmental delay, ADHD, depression, and PTSD. Dr. Nesterenko has experience working with veterans. Dr Nesterenko works inpatient, in crisis stabilization unit with children and adults, and outpatient. I work with clients of all ages starting from 5-year-old to 95-year-old. I always begging the session from a listening to the client. We trying to look for a good thing in client’s life such as achievements, success, relationship improvement, stability, support, and strength. After that, we are looking for complaints such as depression, panic attack, focus problem, difficulties with sleep, headaches, weight gain problem, multiple worries, mood swings, anger spells, fatigue, lack of maturation, memory problem. For kids, it's usually anger spells, fears, worries, frustration, refusing to go to school, game addiction, oppositional behavior, sleep problem, crying spells, poor relationship with parents and peers in school, lack of friends, poor grades, sadness, lack of motivation, and sensitivity issue. After that we discuss what kind of options are available to help with those symptoms. My belief is that almost all symptoms get better just with psychotherapy. It is about 60-70% of success due to psychotherapy and about 30-40% due to medication management. We also discuss non medication alternative treatment options. When we talk about pharmacotherapeutic options, we are trying to choose medication which would be helpful and cause less side effect. The client has a possibility to choose the most comfortable option. We're always trying to discuss stress that cause symptoms. For example, family relationship, problem with work , not being satisfied with the lifestyle, not having time for yourself at ctr. The client is always making the final decision regarding treatment options. The doctor just explaining options and is putting it on a table. Often, there is a need for additional evaluations such as neuropsychological evaluation, sleep study, consultation with a nutritionist, lab work, hormonal panel
