I am a psychotherapist with 14 years in private practice, seeing families, individuals and couples. I have dual master's degrees in both mental health counseling, and marriage and family therapy. Since 2010 I have been providing holistic care from both CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and Jungian traditions. Holistic health is an approach to wellness that simultaneously addresses the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual components of health. The goals include integration, stability, hope and even joy. Holistic does not mean 'alternative', yet I am experienced in adjunct healing modalities like acupuncture, nutrition and yoga. I like to collaborate treatment in a team approach for my clients when able.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out! Do you ever have those days when things are especially difficult?? Many of the people that I meet are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and managing traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I also have extensive experience supporting teenagers who have experienced trauma, which led me to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Currently, I work with adults and youth, and I'm a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection. I am currently a social worker for a small hospice team in my area so am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations. I believe in strengths-based recovery that looks at all the systems that can impact us. Bits and pieces of different models incorporated together tend to have the most benefit, based on the person's needs. I have seen so many great successes! I enjoy supporting the people I work with and going through their journey with them. I am currently licensed in both IL and TN. When I am not in sessions, you will find me hiking with the doggos, road-tripping in the Jeep, and going into "Mom Mode" with my three kids. I look forward to connecting with you :)

Aloha! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Miami, FL. I received my Master of Social Work (2017), B.A. in Psychology (2014) and B.S. in Criminal Justice (2014) from the Florida International University (FIU). I am committed to upholding the core values of social work—respect, empathy, and authenticity—and adopting the holistic Person-In-Environment (PIE) perspective. Ten years ago, I first embarked on my professional journey serving in child welfare, as well as adult forensic and homeless populations. Since 2017, I have been working full time at Citrus Health Network, Inc., one of the largest federally qualified health centers in South Florida, under a grant-funded, coordinated specialty care (CSC), evidence-based program (EBP) known as NAVIGATE, which is designed to treat first episode psychosis. In 2022, the program expanded, and I was designated as Team Leader to train newcomers. I also supervise two Peer Support Specialists (former clients of mine), who use their shared lived experience and skills learned to help others navigate the road to wellness from mental health and/or substance use conditions, and often include them in my therapy sessions. In the summer of 2023, I was invited as subject matter expert (SME) in psychosis to help train Miami police officers in Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). I served as a parttime Evaluation Coordinator at the FIU Community-Based Research Institute (CBRI) through a subcontract with nonprofit organization, Gang Alternative, Inc. on the Minority Youth Violence Prevention Project, a 4-year (2017-2021) research grant funded by the Office of Minority Health. This program aimed to reduce violence and substance use among adolescents in high-risk minority communities in Miami, FL, such as Little Haiti and Liberty City. Under the supervision of Dr. Michelle Hospital, I was responsible for coordinating research, as an external evaluator.

Welcome, This probably isn’t the first step you’ve taken on the path towards your own self-actualization. Often, we get really good at getting by and solving the problem on our own. Sometimes we figure it out, and other times we don’t. Or it works for a while, until we hit a new phase. Or maybe, it’s just too difficult to do the dishes when the world is on fire. I see that you’ve been trying, and I see that life is fucking hard. You may not have reached out to someone before now because a safe space wasn't available. You may have felt outcasted, or othered, or morally wrong for feeling what you're feeling. I am here to tell you that your experience is morally neutral, and you deserve a place to process it. When we get stuck solving problems on our own, we often become rooted in these complex systems we’ve created, yet to be unearthed. These existed long before we had any say in the matter, likely from early childhood development. But now you are in control. You get to decide what stays and what has decayed. My task is to be a mirror, to help you see the forest through the trees, and walk alongside you through it.

Hello sweet souls! My name is Jaitesha Hanson, but I go by Tesh. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Combining ACT, CBT, and art therapy,I have developed a holistic and flexible therapeutic approach tailored to individual client needs. For example, you might start a session with a mindfulness exercise from ACT to center a client, use CBT techniques to address specific negative thought patterns, and then incorporate an art therapy activity to further explore and process emotions. This integrative method has allowed me to address clients’ issues on multiple levels—cognitive, emotional, and experiential—leading to comprehensive and effective treatment outcomes. I also incorporate spirituality and tarot for those who are open to having those tools during the session.

Self-pay rates: $225 for a thorough intake assessment, $200 for couple and family therapy, $175 for individual therapy sessions. I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in FL, who has also had training in a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy program. LMFTs are uniquely trained to view problems through a systemic lens. Humans do not exist in a bubble, which means we impact the systems we are a part of and those systems impact us. My life experiences are what lead me into the helping field. Typically, the therapist who can best help someone is a therapist who has shared experiences with their clients. As a result of the many traumas, including medical traumas, I have experienced, I have learned how to work through trauma, negotiate its current impacts, and rediscover a preferred path. I enjoy spending time outdoors, including water recreation and nature hikes and am also a lover of all things animal and nature. My goal with clients is to help them determine which path is the correct one for them and support them on their journey. While I am an expert in my field, my clients are the experts on their lives. Collaboratively, we will work as a team to improve quality of life and learn how to endure life’s stressors in a healthy way and achieve goals while ensuring my clients feel heard, supported and valued despite their struggles. Ensuring a safe space to discuss the most uncomfortable topics is of utmost importance. There is no topic off limits and no shame in discussing what may feel embarrassing because you will not find judgment from me in our work. Ever.

I have extensive experience with individual therapy, working for substance use treatment centers, and working at various psychiatric hospitals. I have worked in roles including Behavioral Health Tech, Case Management, Primary Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor. I have worked with age groups ranging from young children to geriatrics. I prefer to work with adults of all ages with all types of substance use histories/mental health issues. I firmly believe that in order to help someone, you have to understand them. In order to understand someone, you require personal life experience to truly understand where they are coming from. I am very passionate about what I do. People have asked me previously if I enjoy what I do. I inform them that in my perspective, this is what I "designed" to be. There is no "taking off the therapy hat" for me - this is simply who I am and my purpose. You will learn very quickly how dedicated I am to serving people. I have I near eidetic memory and am well-versed in both DSM-IV and DSM-5 (the manuals used to diagnose someone). If you hire me as your therapist, you will not be disappointed. I have dedicated approximately 29 years of my life to this.

Hi, I'm Mark (Rogers) and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and counselor supervisor (LMHC-S). I have been providing different styles of counseling for decades. While in the military, serving as a crypto analyst, I provided life and career counseling for junior enlisted members. During this time I was assisting young men and women ranging in age from 18 to 40 years of age. I achieved a great deal of personal satisfaction helping them achieve their personal and professional goals. During my decades with the Florida Department of Corrections I was able to provide life coaching and skill building, as well as honing diagnostic abilities, while working with a wide variety of chronic, acute, and adjustment issues. Working closely with other mental health and health care professionals, I was able to establish a well-rounded interdisciplinary team approach to mental health treatment. At one point I was the sole provider of mental health treatment for approximately 3400 incarcerated individual, providing treatment, evaluations, and emergent care for those in need. I have also worked in the school system providing mental health care for 4 to 18 year olds. Working with these young people has been extremely rewarding. This experience has reinforced my belief that everyone has issues that are unique (at least in part) to themselves. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the key to success in therapy. My approach to treatment is to provide a safe and understanding place for persons to explore their specific needs and learn skills that help them grow. It is a conversation with a purpose, the purpose being helping overcome some difficulty. Some people only need a nudge in the right direction and they blossom into their new roles, while others need more assistance and need to be with me longer.

Finding a therapist you can identify with, feeling heard & accepted can be a challenging feat. Therapists are not one size fits all. We are people with problems, just like you. I offer you over 20 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment world. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology (2001) and a graduate degree (2006) in professional counseling. With working 10 of those years in a hospital setting, I also have a decent handle on possible medical issues you might need to be referred for. After more life experience, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2016 and opened my private practice. I can't tell you all the answers to life's problems, but together we can come to what the best decision will be for you in particular. Your goals and values are worth exploring. Your likes and dislikes matter. Your happiness is not selfish.
