We are on this journey toward healing, change, growth, forgiveness, and understanding. Even though you are the main participant in your story, many times in life we lose sight of where the way is, or even how to find it, so I invite you to join me on this path. Humbly, without judging you or even assuming that I know more, allow me to lend you a different perspective and hopefully see the pain transformed.

Hi there, I'm Sharon, and I'm passionate about helping individuals rediscover their inner child and embark on a journey of healing the wounds from their past. As a compassionate and creative soul, I offer a unique approach to processing and addressing emotions. Through my work, I aim to provide a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your feelings, particularly those affected by addiction and co-dependency. I firmly believe that art, not in the traditional sense but as a personal expression of one's emotions, holds the key to authenticity and self-discovery. My focus is on the process rather than performance, making it a soulful and liberating experience I call "soul art." As part of my commitment to excellence, I am currently pursuing my certification in Creative Journaling Expressive Arts with the CJEAItm. This additional training allows me to integrate journaling and expressive art techniques into our sessions, offering you a dynamic and creative approach to healing and personal growth. If you're ready to embark on a transformative journey, exploring your emotions through the creative lens, I'm here to support and guide you every step of the way. Let's work together to nurture your inner child and empower you to lead a more fulfilling life.

I was recruited into a cult during my freshman year of college. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me, but it was also the best thing that ever happened to me, because it made me who I am today. My experience inspired the type of issues that I am passionate about working with: 1. TRAUMA/PTSD. This includes all types of trauma (physical, emotional, psychological) and residual trauma symptoms (OCD, anxiety, depression). 2. SELF and RELATIONSHIP ISSUES, including: a. CODEPENDENCY (i.e. people pleasing, inability to say no, fear of upsetting others, lack of assertiveness, chronic feelings of obligation). b. PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE (manipulative friends, family, romantic partners, controlling relationships, cults, abusive churches, workplace bullying, hazing, sexual coercion, undue influence, toxic people of all kinds). c. IDENTITY CONCERNS (i.e. Narcissism, DID, Former Cult Members, lack of purpose/identity, career and higher education concerns). 3. SLEEP ISSUES: Chronic Insomnia, Nightmare Management, and help with CPAP/Obstructive Sleep Apnea challenges. I also enjoy doing dream interpretation. Do any of these describe you or your situation? If so, I'd love to meet you and talk about how we can work together to overcome your struggles. Feel free to browse through my profile and if you feel so inclined, make an appointment so we can work toward restoring balance to your world again. PLEASE NOTE: Individual adults only (18+). I do not work with minors or couples. Please be sure to complete the Intake Form before our first appointment. Failure to do so will require us to spend our first session completing it together.

My name is Vanessa and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, New Hampshire and South Carolina. I am bilingual(English & Spanish) and can provide counseling in both languages. I am originally from New York and have made Florida my home. My clinical background in Mental Health began as an undergrad and continued through grad school, working for the public sector for the Department of Children & Families where I worked with children, then the elderly in skilled nursing facilities and with adolescents in group homes. I then went on to work as a Nurse Navigator and provided services that included counseling and advocacy for oncology patients at one of the largest cancer hospitals in South Florida. In addition to this, I have also worked with adults in inpatient rehab for substance abuse and court ordered treatment, and served outpatient clients in the LGBTQ community. My training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Solution Focused, and many others that include treatment planning; where my goal is to get my client back to a normal baseline that they are comfortable with and can function in their daily life. I am an open minded, kindhearted and empathetic individual, where my mantra is that I am here for YOU, my job is to assist you in anyway that I can, and help you manage life's daily stressors that may be recent or long-term. I work daily to remove the stigma that Mental Health has in our society, because the reality is, we all have good and bad days, some just need some assistance and guidance on how to manage it better. I believe we are all one step away from a mental health crisis, life is one big roller coaster of stress, worry, emotion that all revolve around something changing in our life that we were not prepared for and do not know how to adjust to it. So my job is to help you navigate all of that and achieve happiness, peace and overall well being.

Hello! I am Amy Lottes, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have experience helping clients with depression, stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, trauma, and an array of other issues. My clients like working with me because they feel like we are having a conversation while addressing their issues and working toward their goals. They usually say this approach feels less clinical and intimidating, and as a result, end up making progress faster than they initially thought they would. I view therapy as a process in which the client and therapist work together to determine goals and define success, as well as determine a process for maintaining success. Our work will be geared toward achieving a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. I approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, meaning thoughts and beliefs that are interfering with functioning need to be addressed and appropriately changed and/or reorganized for better mental health. I also employ methods from other theoretical approaches as needed and deemed useful. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey!

Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression or other uncomfortable emotions? Has something happened in your life recently (or even long ago) that is causing you distress, interfering perhaps with your work, school, relationships or otherwise? To begin with, you're not alone! Also, there is help available. I'm Lynn, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Maryland and Florida. I've been a practicing psychotherapist for the past 25 years. Having worked in private practice, hospitals, mental health centers and hospice, I am familiar and comfortable working with all ages, stages of life, sexual orientation, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I have found the single most important factor in achieving successful outcomes in counseling is the connection between therapist and client. Therefore, I strive to bring my authentic, caring, and non judgmental self to each and every encounter I have with my clients. My diverse therapeutic background allows me to use multiple modalities in counseling clients. I strive to tailor my counseling techniques to match each individual's needs. Typically, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy help clients grow, gain insights into their behavior(s) as well as others and gain tools and skills in managing difficult emotions or situations in their lives. Deciding to enter into counseling can be a scary thought for many. If you are thinking about therapy, I encourage you to give yourself the gift of self-care and good mental and emotional health by taking that first step. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I was born and bred in Kentucky and have been living in the great state of Florida since 2013. I decided to become a clinician due to my own personal experiences with abuse, feelings of unworthiness, anxiety, fear, self-hate, and low self-esteem. I found a way out of my dark tunnel and emerged into the light, and I want to show others how they can do the same! Empowerment comes from within, and it has been within you all along. My job is to help you bring it to the surface, flex those muscles, and realize how strong, resilient, and amazing you really are!

Hello, I'm Amber, a dedicated and compassionate trauma-informed therapist committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals on their healing journey. With a background in psychology and extensive training, I bring a holistic approach that integrates psychodynamic, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to support clients in their path to recovery. In my practice, I prioritize creating a therapeutic environment built on trust, safety, and collaboration. As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize the profound impact of trauma on individuals and approach therapy with sensitivity and understanding. I work diligently to establish a secure and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. My psychodynamic orientation allows me to help clients delve into the unconscious aspects of their psyche, understanding how past experiences shape current thoughts and behaviors. Through this exploration, we work together to identify patterns, gain insight into unresolved conflicts, and promote long-term personal growth. In addition to the psychodynamic approach, I integrate person-centered therapy principles, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe in the inherent goodness and resilience of individuals and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate their unique healing process. Furthermore, my practice incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), focusing on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. This approach allows us to develop practical strategies for coping with the impact of trauma, fostering resilience and promoting positive change. With a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in trauma treatment, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based and client-centered care. I am here to support you on your journey towards healing, personal empowerment, and a more fulfilling life.

Hi! I'm Christen and I am a Licensed Therapist (LCSW). I have been working with both adults and kids for more than 13 years. I love working with clients and I can't wait to meet you. Together we can come up with goals that direct our treatment plan to meet your individual needs. I am energetic, hopeful, and always find ways to creatively help my clients. *One of the things I LOVE to do (in addition to individual therapy) is PARENT COACHING! We can all use some help! I am a mom first, and a Therapist 2nd. I love to be that objective 3rd party who can help tweak routines, strategize about sleep issues, come up with loving, trauma-informed ways to help with discipline (that means teaching!) your kids. Most importantly helping you learn to connect well with your kids heart is my number one priority. Helping your kids learn skills for emotional regulation is an important parent goal, and one I have lots of tools to teach about. Whether you have a preschooler or a teen we can problem solve together. I use creative strategies that are infused with fun. Let's get started!

The first half of my career was spent in two hospitals providing various services to the inpatient and outpatient population working on medical, surgical, ICU, Burn, and specialty services as well as inpatient physical rehabilitation, substance abuse, and psychiatric units. The second half of my career has included counseling in health clinics, in-home, primary and secondary schools, and the incarcerated populations. A unique experience that I have had that has been quite helpful in understanding controlling environments is related to my involvement in a religious cult as a young adult. The mind controlling environment that I experienced is structurally the same as is experienced in cult abuse, domestic violence, kidnapping, prisoner of war, and any hyper-controlling milieu which has afforded myself with a unique skill set to treat those so affected.

Hello, My name is Oshena, but many call me Shena. I recently obtained my Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I have over 4 + years of mental health experience. My experience consists of working in case management, hospice - bereavement- grief counseling, mental health field, inpatient psychiatric facility, outpatient mental health services, mobile response crisis counselor, group therapy, adolescent therapy, and substance use counselor. I am deeply passionate about working with a wide range of individuals, including young adults, older adults, older teens, and adults, to help them navigate the everyday challenges that life presents. These challenges often manifest as societal pressures and the need to conform, which can result in lower self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. My approach is rooted in harnessing an individual's identified strengths and empowering them to overcome life's hurdles. These obstacles may include anxiety, depression, grief, self-doubt, anger management, boundary-setting, communication issues in relationships, burnout, and the challenges of transitioning into adulthood. My favorite metaphor is based on a rubber band. "Like people, rubber bands come in different shapes, sizes, textures, lengths and flexibility. If you stretch a rubber band to the max it typically bounces back into shape due to elasticity." Based on this, I firmly believe in starting where you are to work on breaking down those walls of narrow thinking to bounce back with your elasticity to positive thinking and push towards resilience. Having faith in yourself marks the initial stride, and by seeking guidance, you've already embarked on the next leg of your journey. You hold the resilience needed to conquer the challenges you've encountered, even if it feels daunting. In the realm of therapy, my guiding principle is to embrace the process of healing and personal development with an open heart. I'm here to support you on this journey.

Going through a change can be very tough and hard to navigate. Whether the changes are good or difficult, they can still be hard to work through. I can help you find a balance with the changes occurring in your life and the peace you hope to feel. Together we can work as a team to locate solutions to find acceptance and work out a plan to help you move forward in your life in a way that brings fulfillment. I use a whole self-approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. Although I can help you work through most changes you might be experiencing, I have many year's experience working with individuals in the Hospice setting, helping patients and survivors find peace during the end of life with dignity. These experiences have been strengthened by my personal journey with breast cancer, which has given me a perspective on the other side. I hope I can use my 29 years experience as a therapist and my personal experience as a cancer survivor to help you learn how to find happiness and peace in your life.

For over 19 years, I have been empowering individuals to live their best lives while coping with difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, medical concerns, and infertility. I have a variety of personal and professional experiences that contribute to the development of my empathy, understanding, and relatability. I began my career working with traumatized children in the child welfare system. Since then I have worked with a variety of trauma victims including sexual abuse survivors, adults with child abuse histories, and domestic violence victims. I love helping individuals with trauma make peace with their trauma. I, also, have worked with many individuals who need help finding motivation to move forward. Whether you're a young adult confused about what to do next, an individual struggling with depression or grief coping with discouragement, or a person with anxiety afraid to make changes, I can assist you in making steps to move forward in your life. In addition, I have counseled many individuals struggling emotionally due to chronic medical conditions. I am a cancer survivor; therefore I am extremely passionate about helping others cope with medical conditions, chronic pain, and infertility. I work hard to be culturally competent. I love to travel and have visited (and lived) all over the world; therefore, I am familiar with working with people of difficult cultures and backgrounds I understand starting counseling can be very “nerve-racking.” I will try to make it as comfortable as possible. My counseling style is warm, patient, and client-centered. I encourage my clients to develop their own goals and areas of focus, but I am always there to help guide them. Also, I am very logical and insight-oriented. My clients often comment that I have helped them develop new understandings and perspectives. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
