I love helping my clients to reach their full potential and to achieve their goals, and I find being a clinician to be so special and rewarding. I have experience working with clients of all ages in settings such as K-12 schools, juvenile justice, long-term care/geriatrics, etc. I am a mom, and it is the BEST job in the world and yet is also the most challenging job in the world! What a rollercoaster ride, huh? In my free time I enjoy listening to audiobooks, de-cluttering (it's therapeutic for me!), and spending time with my family. Fun fact- I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and I took two years of Japanese language classes in high school!

I have a background in intensive family therapy, mental health assessment, and outpatient counseling with experience in systemic family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation (SI), trauma, and crisis counseling. While I have experience with all ages, at this time I work exclusively with adolescents and women; with a special passion for working with adolescents who have experienced trauma and have a history of SI. In my free time I love to hang out at home with my husband and two cats (Mia and Poppy) as well as entertain family and friends for game nights! I am a National Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. I have been working with clients in outpatient settings since 2011. Typical concerns that I have experience with are anxiety and/or mild depression, relationship issues, supporting people through separation and divorce, grief and loss, parenting, stress management, PTSD, and support for faith/spiritual life. I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy quite useful and effective, so I tend to use that whenever it seems fitting. I do my best to make sure that I ascertain what approach works best with each client.
