My mission is to help Christian women to understand what is happening to them. That is, I seek to help clients to gain awareness on what is causing them to stay tied to their past experiences and how these experiences are impacting their growth in their families, for their friends, in their careers and life mission. I help women to establish inner and outer boundaries and how these are crucial for growth and well-being (physically, psychologically and spiritually). Additionally, I provide counseling services to English speaking immigrants and refugees (e.g. Caribbean/West Indies) to explore their acculturative experiences in America and to learn strategies to cope. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am an Associate Professor of Counselor Education at the university (both masters and doctoral levels), where I have been training clinical mental health counselors and school counselors for the past 13 years. I also have experiences working in a university counseling center, working in church counseling ministry, and school counseling (k-12). I use my lived experiences and spirituality to empower Christian women and to help them live and grow into their full God-given potential.
