Have you ever asked yourself, "why don't I feel good about myself and my choices in life?" I want to help you explore those feelings and get to the root cause so we can reveal the parts of you that feel alive and whole again. Do you remember the hopes and dreams you had as a child? What happened to those dreams? It could be life events or circumstances, some that were out of your control and some that you made consciously or unconsciously. If you have experienced trauma, sexual trauma, this can contribute to your mental, physical, and emotional struggles. Sexual trauma is not easy to discuss, as it is a taboo topic, and you may not find you can share your story with your friends and family. Secrecy is part of the toxic shame that often leads to issues with self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, and other behavioral problems. Every person has the answers within themselves to reveal the shiny pearl in the bed of a sandy oyster. I can help you if you are ready to do the work of personal growth and healing.

Hey you, I'm Angie, a sex and relationship therapist uniquely suited to support your journey to pleasure and healing. (NOTE: I'm currently not doing COUPLES therapy through Grow, so I would encourage you to find another provider if you're seeking couples work.) Have you struggled to find a therapist who you can be completely transparent with in regards to your sexuality or gender? Have you hidden your identities, desires, and challenges, for fear of judgment, shame or rejection? Sexuality is a challenging topic, one that most therapists don't receive much training around. As a result, even therapists can be afraid to broach sensitive topics, which makes it even harder for you when your mental health, relationship challenges, and overall well-being is so interrelated to your sexual health. Instead of shying away, my work centers your sexual self as a primary domain of care. First, we build trust. And when you're ready, we explore every aspect that may be impacting your life. This can include healing sexual trauma or harm, exploring early childhood development and shame, permission giving to talk about different identities, expressions and desires, and creating pathways to your fullest most expansive pleasure and connection. Topics I'm passionate about include closing the orgasm gap, healing sexual trauma, queer love and sex and healing the harm from homophobia, gender expansive exploration, non-monogamy and open relating, kink/ BDSM/ fetish exploration, the needs of sex workers (whorephobia and stigma) and those who've experienced trafficking, and finding pleasure after experiencing a religious/ cult repression. I identify/ am a member of many of these communities, which provides lived experience to balance clinical expertise as well. We work together to create a safe container for your diverse and erotic self, learning how to integrate those selves into your relationships and your life. Pleasure is key to mental health and well-being.

Is it difficult for you to find time for yourself, let alone, be kind to yourself? Do you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward? Many of us are experiencing loneliness, depression, anxiety and social isolation, so it is important to make caring for yourself a priority. Therapy can help you feel more connected, balanced and peaceful. Together, we can help identify what is not working and regain a sense of balance. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your body, mind and spirit. We will develop a "toolbox" of coping skills and create new insights and awarenesses to help you become a happier and healthier version of yourself. Seeking therapy can feel threatening but it's one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and by doing so also give to others. In our sessions, I will meet you with kindness, compassion, humor and evidence-based modalities, so you can overcome obstacles and habits that may be holding you back. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and empathic environment in which to work through current issues, conflicting relationships and/or past pain. Thank you for reviewing my profile. I am originally a midwest farm gal with a little city pazzaz having lived in the Chicagoland area for many years. Although I am now a CA resident, my midwest roots are grounding to me. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. I provide counseling services via telehealth and on Tuesday's have in-person sessions available to those who live locally. On days I am off and not working, I enjoy reading, riding the motorcyle with my husband, spending time with my adult kids, traveling, taking walks with our pet dog, Buddy, and working out at the gym. I am divorced, have lost a pet I dearly cherished, lost my father, and work hard to get my PhD! I am a huge advocate of self-care because that is what helped me keep taking one step forward on difficult days. **ACCEPTING ADULTS (18+) ONLY** Hi, I'm Yang. And I'm here to help you heal from self-abandonment and emotional dysregulation. Self-abandonment occurs when we struggle to stand up for our needs and live by our authentic values; often, we don't even know what they are. Those who struggle with self-abandonment don't feel like they know who they really are, and what they want, and often feel directionless and ungrounded. We feel small, afraid, anxious, aggressive and dependent on others. Emotional dysregulation occurs when we don't understand our emotions and how to manage them. They control us, instead of the other way around. We behave in ways we wish we didn't, and we build up shame around those behaviors as if they are who we are. We cannot separate our emotions from who we are. These issues often lie at the heart of different mental health struggles, such as depression, anxiety, as well as many relationship challenges. The good news is that resolving these, therefore, can potentially lead to ripple effects of change in your life.

When dealing with personal and family issues, I believe compassion, experience, and individual attention lead to positive outcomes and growth. My passion for working with children, adolescents and families has been molded by almost 15 years of experience in an array of community outreach settings serving both children and adults. I share a dedicated interest in multicultural issues and use an individual's cultural background to inform treatment. As a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist, I aim to provide all my clients with the quality mental health services they deserve. I was born in Mexico City, but I have lived most of my life in sunny Southern California. My educational and professional interests have always involved the promotion of mental health and well-being in BIPOC communities. In 2021, I became a mommy for the first time to my daughter. In 2022, I completed my Psy.D. in Couples and Family Therapy at Alliant International University. My dissertation and previous research are focused on parent-child attachment in families where work-migration is common. My interests are currently on a hiatus while being a new mom but my current favorite is watching irreverent comedies with my husband. I also enjoy taking our two dogs, Polly and Millie, to the local dog beach. I self-identify as a cisgender female. Pronouns: she, her, hers.

My name is Anita, a therapist who has been driven by the fascination of nature and the passion of recovery. In my 24th year of being a therapist, I believe in aiding you in understanding the underlying factors driving your own behavior, clarifying your goals and maintaining a safe emotional place to explore vulnerability and make lasting changes. Compassion combined with scientific based interventions allow us to explore perception, interpretation, influences on your mood, causes for depression (including loneliness) and explore what obstacles you are facing whether perceived or real and ultimately the best way to navigate given your personality and feelings (and boundaries). Often of course we see things from our own brain's perception and thus it is helpful to have an outside presence in processing difficult terrain in life and provide a healthy baseline for emotional regulation. Helping you confront life and your less desired personal traits while in a safe space you feel positively regarded in makes a great difference.

I have been a therapist for over 15 years, and I find the most affective treatment is collaborative and tailored to fit each person’s goals and needs. Whether you are coming to therapy to find new coping strategies, change unhelpful patterns, or process traumatic and painful life events, we will work together to make sure that we are always solution-focused and moving steadily toward a place of health and wellness. We cannot always choose what happens to us, or how the human body responds to its environment, but we can learn how to reframe, manage, and better process those experiences. Through an eclectic and psychodynamic approach, I can help you gain skills and insights to feel more at peace, in control, and present in your life.

Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing in Northern California for 20+ years. I believe everyone has inner wisdom that is often difficult to access when we have dealt with trauma, fear, shaming and abuse. My goal is to help clients access the parts of themselves that they feel disconnected from or would like to develop further. I believe very strongly that healing and change are possible at any age! I like to teach skills that help with finding the strong parts of each person, that may have been suppressed or cut off, due to life circumstances.
