Relationships can be strained or become challenging for so many reasons. Sometimes we all need help to find the best way forward in our relationship to ourself, our peers, our colleagues, or our loved ones. Have your relational difficulties begun to negatively impact your life, leading to challenging emotions, low self esteem, anxiety, depression or other concerns? I love coming alongside individuals, couples and families to collaboratively improve communication, understanding, boundaries, and overall relational health so that you can move towards the life and connections you hope for!
More specifically, I have 12 years of specialized experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families to address concerning or problematic sexual behaviors. Greetings,
Life can be confusing, relationships can be stressful, and the present can make you feel anxious or depressed. Sometimes a painful past can surface into the moment, especially when situations are difficult or when you are experiencing major change. During these periods your mood and thoughts can be affected in negative ways. When you are feeling alone, disconnected, or confused, talking things through can make all the difference.
I work with anyone struggling to find joy, peace, and fulfillment. I offer a safe, inviting space for you to share thoughts and feelings, to vent, to feel heard, and to reorient to meaning. Please allow me to assist you finding relief and clarity. I will meet you where you are at and welcome you. I address healing on multiple levels of the body-mind connection with a focus on the notion that caring about something or someone along with experiencing meaning can counterbalance the effects of hurt, a disturbing past, or a present stressful situation or transition.
I have more than 20 years of experience helping clients navigate major change and transition, gain closure, and create new beginnings. I apply interventions from a mind-bind-being perspective and assess current life stressors to distinguish between situational mood and thought disturbances from those enduring and a consequence of previous hurt or trauma.

I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 10 years. My Master’s in Social Work focused on Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality and how our different life experiences shape how we navigate our surroundings. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, some of my approaches to helping my clients identify their challenges and barriers to their identified problem starts with a person-centered and solution-focused approach to therapy.
I recognize a client's right to self-determination, and I want to empower clients I work with to collaboratively come up with their own obtainable short-term and or long-term plans and goals for the present and the future lives they want to live. Let’s further explore together how to use better the tools you’ve been working with and perhaps add additional tools to the toolbox or not.

My approach is solution focused. I am not primarily concerned with how or why your present challenge developed but will focus instead on helping you to find a way forward. I hope to elicit and reinforce your positive attributes and competencies and help you to access your inner strength. Your ability to change or improve your situation depends on your desire to do so and my job is to awaken that desire within you.
The biggest challenge all of us face is negative thinking. This is a reflection of our own disappointment of what we see when we look inside ourselves. By improving our self-image through accentuating our positive qualities we begin to see the world in a more positive light. A sure way of feeling better about ourselves is to find something good in every other human being.

Cross-training in Clinical as well as Counseling Psychology with state & national Addiction Certification Counseling allows for a flexible, integrative approach to a range of issues; mood disorders (depression/anxiety), relationship, occupational, grief and loss, and health-related concerns. For most, a practical, supportive, solution-based approach is the best way to work through more immediate, real-life problems, e.g., interpersonal conflict or chronic symptoms, but, depth-psychology is a good approach for those who may be seeking deeper meaning.

Jungian therapy will look at the relationship of your “self” to your experiences and look at problems as a symptom of something deeper.
Whether it be a thought or perception, dream, belief, value or current relationship that brings you to therapy, we'll look for what messages are coming to you from within. Tapping into your own creativity, we can use myth and metaphor, poetry, dreams, literature and art to explore your relationship to the problem.

You are grieving, heartbroken, or lost. You didn’t get the job, you broke up with your partner, someone important has died. Grief is normal and exquisite and painful. You want to talk about it, but you don’t want to burden anyone. Here you have permission to be a burden. To be messy, seen, repetitive, and stuck. I’ll meet you there, but won’t leave you there. We work towards managing the unimaginable. Reckoning with the stories we tell and the paths lost, in order to reconcile with where we truly are. There you will find possibility. New stories, new love, new hope. There you will find the courage to start again.

Hi I am a licensed professional clinical counselor practicing in California. I offer in person sessions in Stockton California and also teletherapy health options. Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

Hello,
I’m Wanda Earl, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in California with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services to adolescents, adults, and families primarily with diverse backgrounds.
As passionate as I am about helping people, I’m even more compelled to help people help themselves. I believe in providing a safe space that encourages unfiltered communication and self-reflection, both of which I believe are vital for one to heal and foster growth.
I acknowledge that life is precious but at times hard and a professional’s assistance with helping navigate through those challenges may be needed.
Just like a scale, life has its ups and downs, and only the sturdiness of the scale (the scale being the individual) can determine its ability to carry the weight that is placed on it.
If you feel that I can potentially be of service, please check my availability.

Hello there, I'm Brian Mitchell. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a client-centered approach to therapy, focusing on trauma and PTSD. I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs and experiences. I am trained in several evidence-based therapies, including CBT, EMDR, and TF-CBT, as well as mindfulness techniques and stress reduction strategies. I work to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to work towards healing and learning coping skills.
My attraction to a career as a therapist stemmed from a desire to help marginalized populations find their voice and advocate for their needs. What drives me to do this work is a deep passion for helping others find a better path forward in their lives.

Choosing a therapist can be challenging and confusing and one might ask, what does therapy involve? From my experience Therapy involves developing a very special relationship between a professionally licensed practitioner called a therapist and one or more people seeking to collaboratively define and achieve constructive change. This relationship is referred to as the therapeutic bond and is considered one of the most important parts of successful therapy. As such our first step in therapy is, from day one, to form that bond by establishing a trusting, non-shaming environment where any child, adolescent, person, couple, or family will feel safe and sense the therapist is on their side, listens and understands.
Therapy on my behalf will involve empathy, genuineness, and mindful acceptance while we collaboratively establish therapeutic changes / goals you feel are both desired and are ready to achieve. Our sessions will involve the language of change as perceived by you the client(s), and constructive finding of solutions. You will be able to present your story without fear of rejection or shame.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and am very effective with middle schoolers, adolescents young adults, and people working in the stressful world of business, hi tech and active military service members, and veterans. During my time as a therapist I have built a reputation as caring, effective and someone who has my client’s best interests at heart. If you feel a connection or that contacting me could be of value, I would be very happy to hear from you. Until such time I wish you the very best in your quest.
Sincerely,
Mike

In a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative setting, I aim to assist clients to feel empowered, resilient, self-accepted, and better equipped to handle life's varying stressors. I am honored to be in the position of assisting clients to thrive. My ideal client is an adult (18 y/o - 64 y/o); And I often work with clients facing a variety of life challenges such as self-esteem issues, grief, life transitions, work related stress, parenting challenges, among other challenges - that can manifest themselves as excessive worry or sadness, and/or not feeling seen or understood.
My primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Psychodynamic. I believe that in order to thrive in our lives it is helpful to be aware of the conscious and unconscious mind. It is through heightened awareness that you can make lasting change(s) in your life.
My clients have reported that they appreciate my calm demeanor, and the trust that they feel in the therapeutic relationship that we establish. If you are ready to take the next step, I am here to endeavor to understand your experience, and to support and empower you. I would love to hear from you!

As a child I was always very sensitive and curious about the world that surrounded me. It came natural to help people and I knew that I wanted to give back to the world at large. Just like you I suffered from some childhood wounds. My parents did the best they could with the tools they had. But due to their struggles I became a very codependent child wanting to save and fix my parents to simply gain the love I desired.
Later on I would be able to understand this cycle and name some of the patterns I lived out. People pleasing, losing myself in toxic relationships and not fully loving that little girl inside of me. Once I became a LMFT and gained the knowledge and tools necessary I was not only able to break my own patterns, I was also able to help others find joy and deep meaning in their lives.
Ultimately I specialize in helping people understand their patterns and be more effective communicators in their world. My role has been a guide and coach for my clients, providing innovative approaches based on Gestalt Method, Ancient Forgiveness Techniques, Psychodynamic Therapy, NLP and Hypnosis. I use these techniques to help my clients break patterns, many of which are fear based as a result of early childhood trauma that causes emotional issues in the present. This is deep and powerful work, and is necessary to enable a positive path to desired future. I look forward to working with you and guiding you on the path to healing and freedom.
