I attended Kent State University where I completed my BA in Psychology and then attended California State University, Long Beach where I completed my Masters in Social Work. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I help individuals cope with the stressors of early adulthood, parenting, and being stuck in the "sandwich generation," caring for children and older relatives, with little or no time for self care. I have particular experience working with parents of children with special needs. My approach is always strengths-based and supportive, and I utilize tools from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients heal and grow. I welcome LGBTQ+ individuals, and especially LGBTQ+ parents. I got my Masters in Social Work at UC Berkeley in 2004, and became licensed in 2010.
