Hello! I am a trauma informed mental health therapist and have been practicing for over 30 years. I received my Master's degree in clinical social work from Arizona State University. I have worked significantly with issues of child abuse, domestic violence, trauma. child loss, grief, anxiety and depression. I work with adults, teens, and children age 5 and up. I have provided counseling services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Selethia Mitchell, DBH,LCSW is a Doctor of Behavioral Health and a licensed clinical social worker. She has been working in this area of study since 2001 and has experience along the entire lifespan. She started as a case manager in child and family services, in patient and out patient behavioral health, hospital and community health clinics as well as within correctional health arena, to name a few. Selethia is passionate about women's issues, diversity and inclusion as well as trauma. She has spent lots of time working in career development and assisting with transitional services.

I beleive that each stage of life is a transition and that each human struggles in this process. I beleive this can show itself through anxiety , depression , confusion and more. This is why I choose an integrated approach in treatment. My love for treating the whole self, led me to using a multitude of sensory interventions, art , play, horticulture and experiential therapies in my practice. I believe there is no one intervention or modality that is best suited for one population but that each session is tailored to specific needs. I use a positive Psychology approach that allows me to focus on the flourishing of human nature. I beleive each person has an abundance of strengths and I want to help you identify them. I love working with substance use and offender populations and love to see people expand their minds and come back to life and start really living. However my experience is with high acuity clientele. therefore, I I have knowledge and skills in almost every area.
