Are you a Christian woman in your 40s-50s experiencing emotional distress after a hard breakup or Narcissistic abuse? Are you looking for support but feeling judged by your faith community? Do you have self-condemning thoughts and doubt your value and worth, but WANT to have positive feelings toward yourself? Do you feel emotionally overconnected to another person and want your sense of independence back? Then YOU are the kind of client I enjoy working with! Together, we can evaluate and dispute negative thoughts and beliefs, resolve spiritual crises, break trauma bonds, and find acceptance for realities unlikely to change. I specialize in treating self-esteem, codependency, and divorce. I love working with clients to heal from trauma, resolve anger, and find acceptance for unrealized expectations. Middle-aged Christian women who have experienced physical, emotional, verbal or narcissistic abuse are my primary focus. I use spiritually informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify abuse, set boundaries, heal from trauma, resolve anger, and find acceptance for unrealized expectations. I provide practical, therapeutic, and spiritual interventions. Potential clients should know that I provide a safe, goal-oriented environment to work toward wholeness without judgment or criticism. Together we consider biblical truths and find ways to apply them to mental health. We will identify, evaluate, and dispute thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that conflict with God's grace, truth, and love. of focus include fear, anger, guilt, grief, shame, stress, forgiveness, self-esteem, relationship loss, divorce and hopelessness. I open sessions with prayer. Successful treatment completion looks like you have met your therapy goals and are routinely staying inside your window of tolerance (the optimal level of arousal for emotions, memories, thoughts, experiences, and people) that you can endure without destabilizing. Visit my website, www.growingingrace.life to view video podcasts. I'm happy to answer questions through email before scheduling an appointment. I am completely virtual in my practice and meet with clients via distance counseling only. I provide handouts, prayers, and worksheets for therapy homework between sessions to reinforce skills acquired in sessions.

I am a bilingual LCSW with over 10 years of experience working in the human services field; focusing on mental health, behavior, and non-profit work. I grew up in Los Angeles, Ca., completed my Master of Social Work at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY., and currently reside in Ocala, Fl. As an LCSW I treat clients from across the lifespan with varying therapeutic needs by applying an integrative approach to treatment. Some of my areas of experience include treating family systems and individuals navigating intergenerational trauma, parents and children dealing with challenging behavior, neurodivergent populations, and individuals with a desire to better understand themselves and the maladaptive behaviors causing distress, mood issues, and anxiety. Areas of specialty include working with young adults navigating life after high school, parenting individuals/partners, and those who identify as Latina women struggling to balance relationships, family, individual needs, and independence. I believe that everyone and their experiences are unique, this is why I meet clients where they are in their life journey, empowering them to find and enhance solutions and coping skills that meet their needs. Although I am trained in CBT and DBT these interventions are only a part of my integrative approach to treatment. Client-centered care remains at the center of treatment; as there is not one single intervention that is best for all. Your treatment is yours, together we will create a treatment plan that empowers you.

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia. I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.
