Hi my name is Antwan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Alabama and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. I have been in the counseling profession for over a decade. Along with being a licensed therapist I teach as an adjunct professor in the graduate program for Counseling and Human Studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). My primary therapy approach is person-centered therapy. I help adult clients between the ages of 18-64 years old utilize identifiable resources on becoming aware of self by helping them to resolve barriers to personal growth. My primary areas of focus are mental health, substance abuse, gay/lesbian issues, anxiety, and depression.

I have a sincere passion for working with individuals impacted by addiction, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, adjustments to major life changes/events, relationship issues, codependency, family of origin trauma, and various other complex trauma. I have worked as a school, mental health, medical, and military social worker. I have a Master's and Doctorate degrees in Social Work.
