Welcome. My name is Sandhya Nair and I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed to practice in the state of Texas. I believe therapy is meant to be a space of mutual collaboration, to help work towards and help understand those aspects of your life that motivated you to seek guidance. I believe that each situation is unique, just like the individuals involved. I embrace multiple modalities that include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Self-Compassion. I thus embrace a client-centric approach of unconditional positive regard where the goal is for you to embrace your inner strength, leading to your desired clinical outcomes. Also as a female South Indian-American trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapist in Texas. My personal and professional experiences have created a unique understanding of the minority stressors, cultural trauma, and other stressors that are common to those who identify as this minority in America. My goal thus is to create a safe space that encourages expression of this with respect and balance. All of My Sessions are Virtual and Once we agree upon a time, I will send you my QR code for the first session on Whatsapp. I will not be conducting my sessions on the Grow Platform.
In our First Session together we will begin with introductions, and dive into and identify specific challenge's you are facing. This will help us create a plan for us to work together towards desired goals. There will be an expectation of you willing to do the work, and truly want to see change happen. The Platform I conduct my sessions are on WhatsApp end to end encrypted video.
I truly enjoy helping people, help themselves. I foster a therapeutic relationship with my clients with a foundation of trust, respect and nonjudgement. I make my clients feel comfortable and provide a safe space for healing and growth.
Every Client is unique with a distinct set of needs. My Modality does not stick to just one form rather custom tailored to meet the needs of my client.
Change your Thoughts, Change your Life. CBT therapists emphasize what is going on in the person’s current life, rather than what has led up to their difficulties. We will Discuss Healing, and what your present trauma responses are to address them effectively
Mind-body is an integrative approach to treatment that links the mind and body, emphasizing how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors significantly impact our physical and mental health.
Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapy approach that works with ones strengths to help create the future you desire. We will briefly focus on the present situation or event that is creating stress , worry, sadness in your life , identify strengths you possess and create "that " future.
