Hello, thank you for taking interest in me. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and have been practicing as a clinician since 2007. Our therapeutic relationship is what will make your therapy journey more successful, therefore building a meaningful therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my approach. It takes courage to acknowledge you need help, especially if you feel stuck in feelings of anxiety, depression or unhealthy coping patterns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and what brings you into therapy in order to complete initial assessment. We will then collaborate on treatment planning that align with your goal and expectations of therapy for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Sessions are only telehealth- video or by phone.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I integrate Trauma-Focus, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus and Mindfulness. It is possible in the right supportive environment to heal and to free yourself from your own traps that keep you stuck, fearful, or unhappy. The intent of therapy is to provide a space of warmth, understanding and acceptance in which you can safely open, explore and express your thoughts, feelings, experiences and conclusions about life. Through support and feedback, you can begin to see yourself more clearly and recognize new and healthier choices that can result in lasting changes.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My goal is to educate and create a greater sense of understanding the purpose of emotions. I will provide support in recognizing and replacing unhealthy patterns of relating and beliefs with more realistic and effective thoughts, thus decreasing emotional distress and self-defeating behaviors. I feel it is important to share that counseling can be pursued not only to handle problems, but also to find more meaning in life, feel more connected to others and our surroundings, and to increase the joy of being alive!
